  Nigthmare at surf plaza resort

  The staff at this "resort" is very rude and ignorant. Selling the hotel on fake facilities that does not exist but they happily confirms these over the phone. For instance the beach is no longer accessable as a major construction project is ongoing. I would not recommend to any to visit this place, we chose to move after only one day.

  Not a five star!

  I chose this hotel for a family vacation based on many photos and descriptions from the internet that now I know where misleading. It is very near the beach which was nice for my kids but the facilities at the Surf Plaza were lacking. It does NOT have cable, therefore there are no foreign tv channels. Although you have individual thermastats in each room, they don't turn on the main unit for air conditioning until they feel it's hot enough. We were very warm in our rooms and only got the fan when we turned on the "cool" dial. The bathrooms have some mold around the edges and the carpet is not very clean. The swimming pool was very cold but it didn't matter since when we tried to go for a swim they told us it was closed for a wedding. We also tried to use the spa but was told it was closed indefinitly. We also had reserved it for 4 nights but when we arrived they only had our room reserved for 3 nights. We had to book a different room the last night and move our whole family. The views are nice of the ocean from rooms but I would only classify this hotel as a 3+ star. Disappointed on many levels!

  Absolute shocker, don't stay here.

  The photos on hotels.com are not where you stay at this resort. It is full of people living and the state of the place is shocking. We refused to stay and left to book another place. Please do not stay here. There are no facilities and it is not clean. Please see my photos. I am a back packer of old and it was at the low end of places I have stayed when backpacking. Certainly not a place for a family holiday. The photos really don't show how grotty and horrible this place was. There is no pool, restaurant or any other facilities, it is just an apartment block.

  Convenient location but poorly maintained apartment

  We stayed there in 2 units for 5 days with the toilet bowls stuck for 3 times, broken sofa bed, broken door, very poorly maintained sink of the pantry, Almost half of the ceiling lights were fused. Water temperature for shower was good. Good restaurants nearby.
