  Very reasonably priced, clean and great service

  We just needed a comfortable week night stop over at Coffs on our way to the Northern Rivers area of NSW. Prices on the net for accommodation ranged from $85 to around $250 for the night (ouch!). Whilst apprehensive, we did book the Surf Beach Motel at the cost of just $85 for a King Bed room on the ground floor. The staff lady over the phone was extremely accommodating and helpful with hints, particularly with respect to their late cancellation policy in the event of a last minute Covid 19 problem. Then, on our way there, Natalie contacted us by phone to ensure our arrival time in the event we may have arrived after 6.00pm. Extremely impressed with her level of service and Natalie's whole attitude towards assistance and local advice. The room was smaller, but clean, extremely comfortable king bed. We walked a short distance to 1 of 2 places for an evening meal. Recommended for an economical stay without the bells and whistles. Just ask for a hair dryer if needed as we could not locate one in the room.

  Motel location not great.

  The motel is located in a laneway which consists of one entry and exit, there's units across the lane which prevent you from being able to turn around, had to do a 4 point turn just to leave and I only drive a small car. The motel parking spaces are very small and boxed in, the car beside mine had parked in the correct spot but blocked me from accessing my allocated parking space, had to leave my car out in the lane which I wasn't happy about. There's an elderly lady that lives in the apartment building next door and owns two large dogs which roam the premises freely at night and were even seen urinating on nearby parked cars, when I asked her to come and tend to her dogs I was told to "f*ck off and mind my own business" Will not be staying here again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

  Underrated

  Everything was modern and including the bathroom was very fresh. Very clean (surprisingly so for motel standards). Reception was really nice and helpful with local places to eat etc. Aircon worked well. Value for money was definitely there. People giving low ratings I think are accustom to 5 star hotels lol, lost touch with reality. You can't find a better value place on lower end of price scale in all of coffs in my opinion.

  one night stay

  The unit was small but very clean, lovely bathroom, good bed, great location, across the road from the beach. Parking was very tight, especially for our 4X4 vehicle. One minor complaint/ there were no biscuits to have with our cuppa!! It's the first motel we have ever stayed in where there weren't any biscuits!!! My husband walked to the little corner store/service station and got some! We paid $145, which I thought was quite expensive. It was a long weekend and in the school holidays so all that considered perhaps it was competitive. Very little traffic noise, even tho we were on a main street, so rooms are pretty soundproof.

  Good but overpriced.

  Sunday night stay. We stayed overnight in a very comfortable and modern room. The linen and bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional. Off street parking. Close to the beach. No swimming pool. I believe at $165.00 for the night it is overpriced for the room, compared to what else is around in the area. That aside you wont be disappointed.
