  It's not common to experience quality service anymore, but we found it at the Super 8 in Blue Earth. Shamir and his staff go the extra mile to provide a positive experience. It is appreciated! We've already recommended them to others, both locally and outside of the community!

  Renovated!

  Chose this hotel on purpose to spend the night away from a larger city while traveling home. Quiet area with a good selection of restaurants (and the Jolly Green Giant to boot)! The hotel seems to have been recently renovated - nice carpet, paint, and clean bathroom. One bed was super soft, the other was firm. The room also had a microwave and refrigerator. Nice cool room, good hot shower. Hubby appreciated the hot coffee, bagel and waffle, and I enjoyed the fruit, cereal, and yogurt. Great value for the money!

  Be Careful of This Place

  Booked this hotel as a place for the family to sleep on the way to South Dakota from Michigan. Made sure it was pet friendly only to find when I got here that they only let animals on the first floor and it was full. They wouldn't refund my money and said I'd have to go through Super 8 to get a refund, which was a mess at midnight. I let the family stay in the hotel room but me and the dog slept in the car. I realize this is a policy and the lady didn't want to get in trouble, but come on - have a little kindness with everything going on in the world.

  Clean and Comfortable Stay

  Stayed the night with wife and daughters while passing through the area. Property was fairly clean and well maintained. Our room was similarly clean and in decent working order. Decor felt a little dated, but there was plenty of space for the four of us to relax and unwind after being on the road for several hours. Breakfast provided in the morning for visitors. Selection is rather basic and somewhat limited to the standard cereal/toast/waffle selection with some fruit and juice options. Nothing special per se, but a free option for those that want a bite to eat before leaving. Service was polite and professional both during check-in and check-out.

  in room safe

  One unique feature of my room was an in room safe. I didn't have a need for it, but it may be useful for those travelling with valuables. I don't know if all rooms had one. I enjoyed the breakfast with make your own waffles, instant oatmeal, fruit, bagels and cold cereal. There was a computer available for guests to use. I couldn't figure out how to boot it up. The clerk didn't provide any ideas on how to do this.. There is a restaurant next door. The Jolly Green Giant is a few blocks south.
