Beautiful place and amazing peopleThis is the most welcoming and beautiful place we ever been. It was our first time in Crete and i was impressed about their pictures so decided to book it. Best choice i ever made. When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by the receptionist that was very helpful and explained to us the facilities and all we need to know. We paid for an upgrade as i wanted to have A room with pool access from the balcony. The room we had was really nice and clean, good size for 2adults. We had the breakfast and dinner included which were really tasty. They have a beautiful bar by the pool with nice cocktails and frappe. You can rent a car from them and visit the island. The most beautiful beach and tavern is 5min drive-Karavostasi. We can not wait to come back next year. Thank you guys for everything you did to make our stay beautiful!!

Beautiful viewsHad a lovely stay, amazing views and hotel is beautiful and modern. Some rooms are still slightly dated and you have to pay to upgrade to the modern rooms however we stayed in the older room and it was clean and absolutely fine. Staff really nice and friendly. Pools are lovely, relaxing vibes around the whole hotel. Very quiet perfect for couples looking to relax!

Superb Sunset Hotel & SpaJust returned to the UK following a 10 night half board stay at the Sunset Hotel and Spa in beautiful Bali Crete. The Hotel itself has always been lovely but with the recent renovation works and new extension it has gone up a few levels. The rooms are all lovely, spotlessly clean and well furnished the new rooms with access directly into one of 2 pools are luxurious by any standard. Kostas and his team are constantly on the go to ensure your holiday goes without a hitch and in him and Katerina you will not find better hosts anywhere. The Hotel is centrally set in Bali with the nearest beach about 150m away and of course has the benefits of the Spa facilities next to reception. We stayed on a half board basis and have to say the breakfasts and evening meals were a great balance of tasty food. We will certainly highly recommend staying here to anyone and will certainly be returning in the future. The Hotel did a fantastic job to make us feel safe during these very uncertain times. The staff wore face masks and social distancing was observed by all.

Amazing stayOur stay at this hotel exceeded our previous expectations. The weather was great even though it was the end of September, the location was also great for a relaxing holiday. The hotel was very beautiful, especially the new part of the rooms with access to the pool looked really great. The food was very good and we had the best cappuccino freddo here (we will miss it haha). The staff was very nice, we definitely recommend this hotel.

Location, Location, Location!Tucked into a sheltered part of Cretes magnificent northern coastline, the quiet village of Bali has a lot to offer those seeking relaxation. Its a 45-minute drive from Heraklion airport, centrally situated for all that Crete has to offer, and the hotel even has its own car-rental facility! Yes, the location for our first ever visit to Crete impressed from the start, so lets look further at what the Sunset Hotel & Spa has to offer: Privately owned and personally managed by a small team, this smart boutique hotel offers a surprisingly wide choice of rooms. Accommodation is grouped around two pools, one of which is shared as a swim-up between six high-end suites. Adjoining these is an open-air bar and an outside dining area, both with electric sliding roofs and folding glass partitions that provide additional protection in the rare event of poor weather. The hotel facilities are all at first floor level or above (served by stairs or lift), while reception, spa and car-rental are off-street. But let me introduce you to the guy in charge: Kostas is THE go-to man, the ultimate host who can put you at ease while mixing a cocktail, tell you where to catch the local bus, or tease you over your dining tastes. He is everywhere, leading his staff by industrious example and ensuring each of his guests has everything they need to make their stay enjoyable. Seemingly tireless, Kostas has a ready smile for everyone, yet manages to cover the bar, the food counter, the car-rental office and a host of other duties too many to mention. No wonder some guests return year after year. The staff seem like family, supporting one another and each taking on multiple roles with cheerful efficiency. As I said one day to the chef Youre a genius, then I turned to Kostas serving beside him And you create geniuses! He just laughed. So now lets look at the food, because it is certainly a visual feast. (I can also vouch for the taste.) Dinner is served later than our personal custom, from 7.30pm, so we were invariably first in the queue. That allowed us to appreciate how the banquet was presented each night, as well as enjoying longer days out, with time to freshen up for a leisurely evening that sometimes included a pre-dinner cocktail. One observation that may be of interest for those bringing children: theres no allowance here for kids that are fussy eaters. If theyre looking for chicken nuggets and chips, forget it! You wont find fast food here. It is all lovingly prepared including healthy salads, Cretan specialties and options for meat, fish and vegetarian. But kids, if you love pasta theres always a variety for you too. Overall, we found exactly what we were looking for at the Sunset Hotel & Spa including value for money. No hotel is perfect though, and for breakfast I would have preferred properly brewed coffee to that from a vending machine. It would have been nice to have had some beach towels to hire for sunbathing instead of having to buy our own locally (5 euros each). And the limited toiletries available in the rooms could also use an upgrade, especially bearing in mind theres a spa facility onsite. But these are minor points that can easily be addressed in the future. My verdict: surprisingly excellent, and we WILL be joining the elite who like to return as regulars. Well done Team Kostas!
