Dont Do ItIm sitting in room 203, and paying also for room 201. We arrived Tuesday with check out Friday. There is no running water. Theres no access to ice. Theres no response to emails or phone calls from guests. HELP. This is crazy. Judy gets accolades for kindness; theyre deserved. Guests need service. So bad Ive had close to a dozen flies coming from the plumbing. Very sad.

Roughing it in the White MountainsPros and cons sum it up.Pros, million dollar mountain views, quaint, charming 9 hole golf, nice location and clean. Cons,no phone in room,no fridge,no coffee pot/hot water,no safe, staff availability poor(to be fair they were quite nice when available),food ok(also limited dining hours), property had some maintenance issues and important to note Inn had handicap accessibility issues.

Very nice when you first get there, but bewareI was really looking forward to this stay. We had initially booked the premium suite and I called to upgrade to the Master suite since I saw it was available for only $21 more. I was willing to pay a little extra for a suite bc the property appeared so nice on the website. Also, we were travelling with my son and my bf and I wanted a suite for some privacy. The room came with a jacuzzi. Everything was beautiful when we arrived. We all really enjoyed how beautiful the architecture and decor was. The Inn is a very old Victorian, so there is a lot of vintage charm to it along with some very cute, modern decor. I would have been mad at myself for not mentioning the rest... I also stayed there August 13, 2020 and Mark H (below) is not lying. THERE WAS NO RUNNING WATER from the evening of the 13th until midday on the 14th. The hotel staff appeared very professional but not apologetic at all for the huge inconvenience of not having any water. If you were not aware, many of the residences in this part of NH use well water. It appeared that there was a drought this summer and according to the staff "it's completely out of our control". We checked out the morning of August 14 and were watching the entire scene from our window as the septic truck came and a water truck came to fill up the hotel's water reservoir. It appeared to me the water had been dangerously low for quite a few days and nobody had anticipated we would all be in the predicament we were in. When the water started to fill up the reservoir, it became very obvious how high the water level was becoming bc you can honestly see it clear as day exactly how much water was in these tanks. Now that I think about it, it was completely irresponsible #1) of management to allow the water to get that low and also #2) How dare they offer rooms with jacuzzi's when they run off of well water?! There were a few other things that I was willing to overlook bc I thought the Inn seemed so nice and the views were amazing. But just so you know, if you are thinking about booking this place, just don't. The sleeper sofa was cheap and was sunken in. The door handle to the balcony was cracked. There was an air conditioner one level above us that was leaking water onto our balcony right by our door so everytime we stepped in/out, it leaked onto our heads. I honestly feel like we were better off staying at a chain like Best Western or something. The pool had a ton of bugs and flies in it and I actually took it upon myself to take the net and clean out of bugs so that my son could swim. There was also a billing issue with the front desk. I was afraid I may have had a hold on my debit card since I was travelling out of state. After calling Bank of America, it became evident that the lady at the front desk had put in the incorrect expiration date for my card and that was why the charge got declined. Not a huge deal, I understand typos happen, but I did waste about 20 min calling my bank. I do feel bad for writing a terrible review bc I really wanted to like this place. If it's worth anything, the views of the mountains were spectacular.

Perfect location for an small wedding! My husband and I recently got married at The Sunset Hill House, and we had an incredible experience working with them. We had searched far and wide for a place to have a small elopement style wedding, and when I saw the recent renovations completed by Saxton and Karen, I knew it would be the perfect place to hold our wedding, rain or shine. The house itself has so much character, but the interior has been revamped to a more modern/minimalist style that we loved and knew would be a great backdrop for our photos should we have to take pictures inside. Not only that, the staff at Sunset Hill are so friendly and accommodating - working with Judy to plan out all the details of the wedding was wonderful; she was extremely prompt at answering any questions we had along the way, and was able to accommodate special requests for us - we are so appreciative for everything she did for us. Also, the chef accommodated several of our special requests, and our guests were raving about how amazing the food was. We cannot recommend this hidden gem enough to our family and friends who want to get away to a gorgeous retreat in the mountains, and we can't wait to go back as soon as we can!

Presidents day ski tripThe location and views are beautiful but I would not stay here again because the room we stayed in was not nice enough to be almost $200/night, the walls were paper thin so we were woken by other guests at 5:30am, the hotel does not provide breakfast, and the wait staff's service was slow. We still managed to have a good time and everybody was friendly but just doesn't seem worth it.
