Outdoor smell is awful. The resort is in very good location to get to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, The Island, and other attractions, however the smell form the recycling facility was awful when outside of the unit. The furniture and bathroom could use an update, but it was very clean.

Dated, Clean, UnpreparedA winter storm hit so we got there late. The electricity was out and the generator only covered the office. The staff had a lack of empathy for the situation. The front desk spent a lot of time talking on the phone while people piled up for check in. One patron came in for candles or flashlights but they had none. Lucky for us we had one in the Jeep and were used to walking stairs. They were slick. Spacious room, but odd layout. Nice view and glad for the gas fueled fire place.

Pleasant StayVery pretty setting. Our unit had no view of mountains. Nice location for smokey mountains. Was able to get out and see tha National park as well as the surrounding area. Went to iconic Old Mill restaurant would not recommend it. Very plain menu. Unit was Hugh and very clean. Wish I had brought more people. I would go back.

Dated / maybe thats why its affordableOK This Resort is NOT a resort... Its a 70s style sub par cheaper lower end Diamond substitute facility. The fixtures are dated. The grounds are only slightly maintained. Bushes have been dead every time weve been here. -we only stayed here this time b/c BentCreek did not have availability. The beds are clean & fresh but OLD HARD LUMPY dated mattresses that should have hit a dumpster 3-5 years ago. (This based on 3 stays the past 2 years). The elevators & railings & outside look line theyve been abused by the salty air of a on the beech motel. Rooms are laid out odd. Units are musty You can hear talking & TV next door no matter where u are in the room. The bedroom drapes must stay closed b/c the view is the outside walkway. Not to mention how loud people are passing your window at night & in the AM & luggage cart noise as you try to rest. Kudos to the housekeeping staff for doing a good job of trying to maintain & clean & make presentable these dated spaces. Shame on Diamondresorts for calling this a Resort. Dont get me started about the rude & unpleasant sales staff. The check in staff are pleasant about the sales pitch but the SALES staff are RUDE. Do Not agree to a presentation or owner update here.

ConvenientWe stayed in a 2 bedroom unit the first week of March. The unit was clean well maintained and very large. It included a balcony with chairs and a table, a fireplace in the living room, and a Jacuzzi in the master bedroom. We had a great view of the mountains. The location was a very short drive to everything of interest in Pigeon Forge, and an easy drive to Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. It is located close to a recycling/compost facility that does put off an unpleasant odor. Since the weather wasnt warm enough to spend much time outside, it wasnt an issue for us. Be forewarned though that if your plans are to lounge around the pool, you may be dealing with a nasty smell if the wind is coming from the right direction. We only noticed it one day. The kitchen had everything you need if youre inclined to cook while on vacation. There is a full size regular coffee pot, but only a couple filters and packs of coffee provided. Literally, my only complaint is the nighttime light from the pool area. We were located directly above the pool and the surrounding lights go at full strength all night long. Im a light sleeper, and need a dark room, and the curtains didnt even come close to blocking the light. I would definitely recommend Sunrise Ridge as a base for exploring the area.
