  Large comfortable rooms make you feel at home

  We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Sunrise Motel Barooga. The owners Matthew and Jacqueline made us feel very welcome and were happy to provide any help or assistance we needed. The room provided excellent value for the facilities provided. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Having a lounge to sit back and relax in at night, while watching the many available stations with movies and sport made us feel comfortably at home. We didn't swim in the pool this time, but saw other guests enjoying it. The games area near the pool was also a great facility. The botanic gardens across the road provided a lovely place to walk. Overall a great place to stay and visit the golf courses and other sights of Barooga and Cobram.

  Homely rooms

  Stayed here at a recommendation from a friend and I am so happy with it. The rooms are huge and the bed is the most comfortable of any hotel I've stayed at. It was well equipped and insanely clean. Walkable to everything and an easy check in/out process. It has all the facilities needed for a longer stay and with families. It really has a small apartment, homely feel to it. Also, great shower pressure - something which can be hard to get in accommodation. I recommend to all travellers coming through this way.

  Impeccable representation... of a Murray River country side accommodation

  Professionally clean accommodation, large bathroom, dining area, fully equipped kitchen but stove (does have two burner cook top), front and rear access to each motel room, retractable washing lines within quick access, cupboards, very clean washing machines and dryers (my clothes and linen smelt like they should fresh and soft). Outside there is a large clean undercover barbeque area, full fridge and freezer for communal use, undercover pool table, badminton, a basketball hoop, and a salt water in-ground pool surrounded by tropical plants and wildlife, pool chairs & pool play equipment, just overall really happy we had the privilege of meeting & staying with Jacqueline & Matthew at The Sunrise Motel. Very quiet and peaceful residence.

  Boarder town stay

  I came to visit family and booked a room here through bookings.com too easy. Swiped my credit card and the key was waiting in my room, again so easy. Barooga is a great fishing and golf place and this room very much catered for that. Walking distance to the shops and the pub but due to COVID it was all I needed as I could cross the boarder at he time of my stay. Very clean and sheets were thick and the bed was comfortable. My minus dot is the towels could have been man sized.

  relaxing on the border

  Have stayed several times now and the friendly service and comfortable feelings you get when there makes it a place like home. the rooms are really ample size with lounge suites and kitchenettes a full Fox-tel TV and comfy beds. easily heated or cooled down with whisper quiet units. barbecue area is all under cover mozzie blinds attached and the swimming pool is absolutely gorgeous, and all comes with a fantastic price
