Golf competition are not signalizedAwful staff. Not all of then, but still... We didnt know there was a golf competition, it wasnt written anywhere. Start walking through the woods , almost got hit by a ball. Staff told us , in a rude way, he himself stood and waited for the golf competition to ended to walk in certain areas. Only difference, he knew it was a golf competition, we had no clue.

Amazing hotel in amazing surrounding. We loved everything at this hotel, the rooms are nice and very clean, the wellness area is perfect, breakfast with good variety and quality, restaurant with tasty food, many activities available, including a very professioal golf course and last but not least the nature surrounding the hotel which is amazing and perfect for a walk. The staff was realy helpfull and helped us with a little problem regarding the room we booked. Hope we can make it back!

Sungarden Resort and SpaThe room was almost clean, but during our stay we didn't had hot water (bathroom). Breakfast was good and rich. The spa was great - clean pool, drinks and food ok, nice view from hotel room and spa. Staff ok.

Amazing SpaI have started to go on regulary basis to the spa within this hotel; I am very pleased of the services there, the personnel is nice and do not disturb you all the time, are discret and kind; very good food in the small restaurant part of the spa, healthy and tasty; I love this place, especially for many types of sauna and the beds with straw mattress

Unfortunately sub-standard for a 5* resortWhenever I travel to a 5 star resort I expect it to adhere to a minimum set of standards SunGarden Golf & Spa Resort however does not. The room we stayed in was decent in size, with a medium sized bed that was quite uncomfortable, as it was incredibly soft. As this was in early March, the temperature outside was quite low, so we had to turn on the heating, which was a bad idea, since the HVAC system did not appeared to have been cleaned for quite a while, since there was a slightly intoxicating, damp smell coming out of the unit. Hence, we had to open the windows during the night. The medium sized bathroom is quite dated and completely unworthy of a 5* hotel. Both the water and the ventilation had a similar damp smell, which was quite annoying. The water pressure in the shower was incredibly low and setting a decent water temperature turned out to be quite a challenge, since even moving the single knob 1mm would turn the water either ice cold or insanely hot. A significant part of the shower was yellowed out, as if it were either burned or in the past there was a leakage that wasn't fixed in due time. Toilet evacuation was also a bit unsanitary. Bed lined were also sub-standard, we well as the bathrobes, that were not only old, but also stained. Doors in the room still had a generous amount of paint on them since the room was repainted, however considering the scratches on the walls I deduct this was not done recently. Room was also not vacuumed in the 2 days we were the guests of the hotel which is quite unsanitary. The SPA is well proportioned, however dated as well. In some parts of the main pool tiles were missing and the water evacuation system looked like it wasn't cleaned in a while. The "premium access" section of the SPA, called Amedeea Paradise, is a worthy update if you're there just for the day. However, it's a 25 RON upgrade of you're an external guest and 50 RON upgrade if you're a hotel guest as well. That section is also a bit dated and the cave is quite a health hazard, seeing as it's dimly lit and full of rocks with a bit of careful navigation, this will not be an issue. Amedeea Paradise is a quiet zone with a few managed saunas of various types however the staff did not enforce any rule, hence it was almost impossible to relax due to excessive laughs and conversations, guests coming in without towels or showering and worse, throwing THEIR OWN substances on the heated rocks and salts in the saunas, with complete disregards to possible allergies of other guests! A nice surprise was the restaurant and its staff the food was quite good and the staff quite knowledgeable and friendly, as opposed to the hotel staff that was either too bored or untrained to properly handle guests and their questions it really shows that SunGarden is not part of a chain that would have set some standards when it comes to human-to-human interaction. The breakfast was decent, however NONE of the foods or beverages were labeled, making it impossible for any guest to seek out possible allergens and this is a huge liability for the hotel. I even played a quick game of "guess the juice" in one of the mornings, as it was impossible to tell what one of the juices were, even after tasting it. Overall the location is very nice and the restaurant is well worth it, however the resorts needs to go a long way to earn the 5 stars it boasts. Hence, I'm giving it a 2 star rating and I shall update my rating and review if and when the conditions will change.
