  Spending a few days in junction!

  We had decided to do a last minute trip to junction Texas on our way home, to spend a few days tubing. We stopped at the sun valley motel and can say we were very impressed with our room. This is a family run business the owners have renovated the motel and the rooms are modern and very well maintained. Our room had a TV, fridge, microwave and a closet to store our clothes and suitcase. I would absolutely stay here again, and enjoyed our time here !

  Nice, well kept, 1950s era motel

  If you've read any of my previous reviews, you'll realize that I'm a big fan of these old school classic mom and pop motels of yesteryear. In fact, I go out of my way to find them while trying my best to avoid the big boring and usually overpriced chain motels/hotels. These classics of the old highways have charm, character and no two are exactly the same - something that definitely cannot be said about the chain establishments. This being said, I do demand that the properties I stay at are well maintained and properly run. Now, to the Sun Valley in Junction: My wife and I stayed here for a night in August 2020 while on vacation in this area of the Texas hill country. It is a good value - around $60 a night. Check-in at the front office was simple and the attendant inside was very pleasant. The entire property is clean and well maintained inside and out. There is a nice pool right out in front that is well taken care of. The rooms are fairly small but were clean and came furnished with a modern flat screen TV, small refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom/shower was clean and in good working order. The air conditioner worked well blowing cold air. The bed was comfortable. For the hungry traveler, Isaacs Restaurant is located directly across the street and several other eating establishments are just a couple of minutes away. Overall, a nice relaxing place to stay in Junction. It will be at the top of our list of places to stay in Junction should we ever be back in the area.

  Very good value for motorcycle riders Clean remodeled rooms with big showers Firm beds Good internet Walk across the street for dinner and breakfast Cold beer Damn handy Best place in town for the dollar

  Super clean!

  A mile off I-10, totally worth it! Super clean, quiet, comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice restaurant across the street. Amazing bathrooms, fresh remodel, clean property. Nice park just up the road by the river, get out and stretch your legs. Will definitely stay again!

  Recently Renovated Rooms!

  Clean rooms and friendly staff. They had a very reasonable pet deposit ($10) and it was clear my room was recently renovated. A far cry from your typical roadside motel. I was very impressed and really enjoyed my stay!
