  Normal 5 star hotel

  The hotel is older but it is clean and the staff is very helpful. Meals are plenty, everyone chooses. The family room we had was smaller, but the bedding was always clean and towels.The only thing I would have minus was the animator I was even better, but that was not important to us. We went to relax and enjoy our time with our family.

  Poor customer service

  I have made a reservation for my parents who were joining us for a short break to celebrate our wedding. I have booked the hotel Sultan of Side in Turkey. 2.10- 5.10. My parents were put in a hotel annex due to shortage of rooms. They were not given any other options and were juts left in absolutely unacceptable accommodation. They were only told that the agency overbooked the hotel and they have to stay 3 streets down from the main building. My father has crutches and can not walk properly which was not taken into consideration. We were away for the day when they arrived and when we got back my parents sat in front of our hotel asking for help. They were absolutely devastated. My mum was actually in tears.  I went in the hotel and demanded for them to be moved which actually happened. I went to the hotel annex to get their stuff and took pictures for you.  My parents wasted a half day of their short 3 days break and were very upset.  The hotel's reply after a complaint was that 'in the end they were given what they paid for'. After another complaint made I was given £13 refund with a notification that this is their final response and offer. I really appreciate that they have apologised but this is such a poor customer service.

  The hotel itself is big and slighly stylish in looks but the services offered were inadequate. I travelled with family and friends so altogether we were a group of 11, please be aware this hotel does not know a word of English, it was very difficult to communicate. Majority of the guests were German. The rooms were okay, the bedding was dirty and housekeeping would sometimes not even come to clean the room or make the beds. The bartenders are rude and very arrogant. The food was okay too, very similar to other Hotels in Turkey that I have stayed at. The reception staff were also unhelpful when enquiring about information and sometimes used to ignored us. The area is known as Side and personally I wouldn't really recommend this hotel for English guests or if you only speak English. I do speak more than 5 languages including a little bit of Turkish however German not being one of them and still the hotel didn't acknowlegde us as I had anticipated.

  Nice hotel

  We were moved here from Side La Grande and they accommodated us very well. Every family got an upgraded room and we were made to feel very welcome. There was a good variety of food every night which we enjoyed. The pools and entertainment were great. The only negative point I would say is that the hallways/rooms arent lit very well. We were a family of 6 adults and 4 children and we all enjoyed the holiday here.

  The hotel presents itself as a 5 star hotel, which it doesn´t deserve. It may have been the case 20 years ago, but not in 2019. Romms The rooms are tiny and worn out. We had a family room, which means, that you have two rooms, connected by a door. If you wanted to go the the balcony room, you had to walk through the other room, which had no window and just a small lamp! This room has always been dark, coz the small light didn´t illuminate it at all. As for the all inclusive service - the water is served only in plastic cups on the beach, the capacity of 180 ml, which is very little in 42°C. The glasses in the kitchen were dirty all the time and the plates were chipped. The waiters almost never asked for order, all they did was cleaning after other guests, the stuff was obviously insufficient. The meals were very repetitive and a small choice. Evening program mini disco for kids (repetitive songs, in the same order every evening) evening show-fire, turkish dances, magician (perfect show!) etc. Staff - nice Beach abt 6 min walk from the hotel through the street, sandy beach, close to the river, so you can sometimes feel cold river streams Beach boy - very friendly older man Toilets on the beach - dirty Beach Bar - ok (burgers, french fries, waffles), the lunch is served during lunch time pools-one kids pool (40cm ), one poll with waterslides (140cm), one at the restaurant (140 cm), one pool for swimming (150 cm) waterslides - the area of waterslides should be cleaned more often, but slides themselves were great overall - went to Turkey a few times, always stayed in a 5 star hotel and this is not what you want to get if you are looking for 5 stars
