ParadiseStayed here for a week, should have been 2, but cut short due to virus. That said had a garden view room overlooking gardens and pool area, superb. Watched monkeys and hummingbirds every day Excellent friendly staff and food was superb, they couldn't do enough for you. Would return

Good hotel , but needs to adaptVery nice hotel with excellent staff but it needs to pay attention to some aspects of its operation. The eating arrangements where by it is necessary to book a time in one of the two restaurants the night before , is irritating. There is a desperate need for more sun loungers around the pool. Given this is a none beach hotel it can be very difficult to get a sun lounger at certain times. This particularly so when some very selfish guests reserve beds and then leave them unoccupied for long periods. In one case 6 hours whilst I assume they went on a trip and wanted to be sure of beds when they returned. The rule about the none wearing of shorts by men in the bar and restaurants is a little antiquated. Good tailored shorts in my view are more elegant then a lot of the trousers I saw, especially when jeans are allowed. Its is a nice hotel and the staff are very attentive. However I think they should take a leaf out of the way their sister hotel The Bel Jou in St. Lucia is operated. My wife and I stayed there last year and we found it superior.

Can not wait to go back !!Spend a week at the Sugar Cane in March . Can not say enough good things about this Hotel . Staff are lovely , food was amazing and the general feel of the hotel is warm and welcoming . We took advantage of the Gully Walk and the Glass Bottomed boot trip that the Hotel offer free of charge and also enjoyed the Cocktail Tasting that was hosted by Sharon . We spoke to lots of people staying there and many were regulars and others would like to be regulars . The Covid 19 situation escalated toward the end of our Holiday and the hotel handled it really well , hand sanitizers were put up around the Hotel and they took care to ensure that guests and staff were as safe as they could be . We used the Spa and I can highly recommend it , I had a massage and a facial and the setting was perfect . I was very sad to leave the hotel and the Island especially knowing that tourism is so important to both and at this time that has all come to a stop . I will be back as soon as I am able to do so .

Wonderful RetreatA wonderful 13 nights at Sugar Cane Club, extremely needed following lockdown & to help support our favourite industry; having to jump through some hoops and red tape it was 100% worth it to be back on the beautiful island! The resort is nicely tucked away and set within lush tropical landscapes so nice and peaceful with lots of nature including daily visits from the local Monkeys. The accommodation was of a good size and we were very comfortable during our stay, good quality bedding beautiful toiletries and robes. The ladies on reception were all lovely and welcoming and we were very looked after in the restaurant by Junior & Stephen. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and a good choice for both breakfast and lunch however the evening menu was only changed every other evening so would have liked a little more choice along with some more Bajan treats but loved that the AI was all A La Carte. Fully understand with the current global situation but left a little disappointed that the boat trip was not possible along with the beach facilities with drinks if you were on AI as this was one reason for booking this property but as I say I understand the global situation so unable to mark the hotel down for this as it wouldn't be fair but maybe would have been nice to get this update from the hotel or booking agent. Overall we had a beautiful holiday, loads of sunshine, time to relax, swimming with turtels most days just from the beach, fabulous food and perfect friendly professional service.

From Paradise to LockdownWe spent 10 fab-u-lous nights at the SCC, celebrating my husbands birthday. We knew wed enjoy ourselves as it was our sixth visit! It seems like a dream now, but we have our photos to remind us! I wont mention individual staff as everyone was so friendly & helpful, welcoming us back into our Bajan family. New staff went out of their way to introduce themselves to us. New to us this time was the shuttle to Reeds Bay: were not really beach people nor sunbathers, but there were plenty of parasols to shade us. I did some snorkelling, but wasnt brave enough to go too far out where I might have encountered some turtles (although Id already seen several on the glass bottomed boat trip). We enjoyed the Sunday beach BBQ, I pre-ordered a vegetarian option which was very tasty. Ice cold drinks are free, we also took a packed lunch one day and ate it in the picnic area. All our meals, in both restaurants and the poolside buffets, were excellent, again catering for our differing dietary requirements. We also enjoyed an excellent free massage in the Spa courtesy of Virgin Holidays, plus an island trip with Damien in the Mercedes. Towards the end of our stay, hand sanitizers were attached to walls and stricter hygiene protocols were implemented due to the pandemic. Obviously, we like everything about the SCC including the dress code, the entertainment, no under 14s, etc. otherwise we wouldnt return. This is the only hotel where weve been all inclusive and returnees. Were looking forward to our next visit when its safe to travel...next time well stay longer.
