Beautiful and quiet resortWhile the rooms are large they are dated and simply decorated. The views are lovely though onto the pool and the resort itself has a serene calm and quiet to it. We loved the food particularly the green mango salad (best ever!). The Thai massage is fantastic and very reasonable prices that you'd expect from this region. We only stayed for 2 nights but it was a very relaxing 2 days!

Peace at lastTranquility in the hills between Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. We booked two rooms for one night. A villa and a dulux room. The villa was nestled on the side of a valley with views over the small muddy river and plantations in the distance. The dulux room had a large outdoor balcony overlooking the large still pool. I went for a two hour run in the morning through the plantations and the rolling hills. There were great views of the resort and the mountains. Food was great. We arrived late and were still served dinner at 9pm. Breakfast was included and was a la carte. My only complaint was that our outdoor bath was dirty as it was blocked with leaves. The resort is great value for money.

Pure Serenity! We wanted someplace special to stay during our journey from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and as soon as I saw pictures of Suanthip I knew this was the place! The property is absolutely stunning. Nestled into the forest surrounded by the sounds of nature and offering sweeping views of the neighboring mountains-just, beyond impressive. We received such a warm welcome upon our arrival late at night and were ushered to our secluded corner of lush paradise for a night of just pure luxury. Our room, which was spotless and quite well-maintained, is wonderfully adorned with local artifacts and even the sundries have a rich history (detailed in the room's reading material). (Note: we did see another room which was the same type as ours but looked like it hadn't been as updated-and while I may have loved that room had I not seen ours (in a "didn't know what I was missing" sort of way) after comparing the two I'm not sure I could rave to this degree about the other. So perhaps ask for an updated room.) We ordered room service (late hours-love that). The food was very good, flavorful, and was laid out for us on our outdoor sala-it was lovely! The rustic outdoor bathing area, the initial draw for me, was incredibly romantic and relaxing. We've had outdoor showers before, sure, but nothing as amazing as this. We were so sorry we had only one night here-let this be a lesson to YOU: spend a few nights. This can easily be a destination vacation. It really is "that good." There is nothing the hosts wouldn't do for you-very kind service. One hundred percent, without a doubt, stay here. I genuinely cant say enough good things about it! ParadiseIt's an over - used term but in this case it's accurate. This is a gorgeous property with staff who seem to really care about the quality of the guest's stay. Don't miss getting a Thai massage here. After having wonderful Thai massages all over the country I can say without hesitation that the therapist arranged by the hotel was the best I've ever had.
