  The Best!

  We enjoyed our stay with Jim and Denise so much! Their comfortable home is a wonderful base for seaside adventures. Jim kept an eye on the tides and gave us great suggestions for fun things to do. The food was amazing;most of the herbs, veggies and fruit coming from their garden. The linens were first rate and the towels were huge and plush. Do a dinner at their house. It is better than what you get at any restaurant!

  Lives up to the name

  We had an AMAZING time at Denise and Jims place. The views really are spectacular and our room was extremely comfortable. The house is close to the beach (which is beautiful!) and the cute downtown area. But what really sets this place apart is Denise and Jim. They are the bests hosts you could ask forwarm, welcoming, fun. They made us feel like we were at home and cooked us wonderful breakfasts with local fruits and eggs. They invited us to a locals open night mic at a bar that was SUPER fun and we really enjoyed getting to know them. This was one of our favorite places to stay on our three week trip to New Zealand and we cant wait to go back.

  Stunning Stay

  What a great place to relax and enjoy the great hosting by denise and jim...it was hard to leave this place after only two nights, enjoyed everything there, suite, company, food, music, views, arts, conversations!

  Wonderful stay

  Everyone else mentions the views - because they really are splendid. Jim and Denise will make you feel at home and are a great source of local information. Breakfast was lovely. A very convenient location for Coromandel and places further south. They may be moving so get in while you still can!

  Very unwelcoming

  Our travel agent booked this for us 18 months in advance. Firstly there aren't any stunning views from the rooms, only the owners accommodation and its too far out of town to walk to restaurants We were expecting a warm welcome but the owner informed us that we couldnt stay !!!!! It was at the start of Corvid but we were in NZ before quarantine was introduced. I asked why she hadnt tried to contact us prior to our arrival as we would have been than happy to stay in our previous hotel The owner told us that she had tried to find us alternative accommodation but that "nobody wants you", which was clearly untrue ! I explained that we were in the country before quarantine was introduced and that as a bad asthmatic we had taken full precautions to avoid the virus and had cleaned everywhere we had been with sanitising wipes and used hand gel. We were extremely upset thinking that we had nowhere to stay On leaving we noticed a motel and decided to give it a try. No problem Within 20 mins of checking into our motel room the police knocked on our door !! The owner of stunning views had reported us. They checked our paper work and as everything was correct said that we could continue with our holiday Whilst I can understand the owners concerns about Covid, all she had to do was contact our agent a few days before to avoid all the upset. To set the police on us was unforgivable. My husband and I are both in our late sixties and not the type to break rules. AVOID THIS INHOSPITABLE PLACE.
