Wonderful placeWe drove 2 extra hours to get out of Permian Basin hotel hell. Came across this gem in Colorado City. New, clean, modern olive/wheat design. Exterior lighting and security cameras. Rooms are set up for extended stay, so roomy with a smart kitchenette, desk area, biggish bath, dresser and closet. Helpful front desk.

Last Minute StayMy friend and I are on a road trip and were tired of driving and wanted to turn in for the night. We discovered this place on hoteltonight and only paid $99 with taxes for a 2 bedroom. The hotel room had a kitchenette inside and was nice enough. There was what looked like some creature growing in the sink and it was noisy as well. I would stay again. It was a nice, basic hotel.

I don't recommendWe stopped here because of the severe weather. Could not make advanced reservations because you don't know how far you will be able to drive. I tried all the other places in town first. They were all full. This place, the biggest, brightest hotel in the city, had lots of availability. Why? Here's why; The front desk folks were nice. It looks like a family operation. But one teen was sleeping in the lobby chair and all of the other employees were wearing sweatpants and clothing that didn't indicate they were at work out worked there. But there were several people present, which is than other motels have. We got two rooms. The first room was already occupied by someone else. The front desk handled it, but it was another trip downstairs with my stuff first. We walked into the second room to a chirping smoke detector. As I type, I can faintly hear another one chirping in some empty room. Again, they were up in 5 minutes to fix the problem, but another problem nonetheless. I met a guy in the elevator who was putting beverages back in his car because his fridge was broken. As for our room, it is a modern style. No carpet, kitchenette, etc. The bed is firm. Pretty comfortable for me. But the toilet has a hard water mineral ring ( I hope), there are touch up paint spots that don't match the original on the wall and maybe because of the weather, only a trickle of water to flush and wash hands. This wasn't indicated at check in or I might have gotten back on the interstate. This place seems safe and the people working are trying, but I wouldn't stay here again. Oh by the way, they allow dogs, so take that into consideration of you have allergies.
