  Acogedor y vistas de ensueño

  El hotel en sí no es lujoso ni moderno, es más como una casa de la típica abuela suiza, con sus cortinitas bordadas, suelo de madera, moquetas... En realidad, todo esto es lo que lo hace acogedor. Lo más impresionante, sus vistas. Al abrir la ventana te quedas con la boca abierta, ves el lago y los pueblecitos al otro lado entre las montañas. Una pasada.

  Increíbles vistas

  Hotel con una cafetería que tiene unas vistas increíbles. 1 café y 2 refrescos, 11. Buen servicio, hablan inglés y todo muy cuidado. Desde este lugar sale un barco que da un paseo por el lago. Muy recomendable para disfrutar de un descanso mientras visitas el lugar.

  Outstanding Lake Front Hotel

  My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 7 nights to 17th July on a half board basis. The continental breakfast was ample and the evening meal comprised of four courses usually with choice of meat or fish for the main course. It was freshly cooked and appetisingly presented. The hotel is short bus ride to Interlaken Ost the train station which forms a hub for innumerable locations within the entire Jungfrau region and connections to major cities for international flights. The hotel has an outstanding location in Iseltwald on the edge of lake Brienz and from where you can catch a boat plying the lake . It has restaurants and bars inside as well as on an outside lake front terrace. Our comfortable spacious room was on the second floor with a lake view balcony. The hotel is owned and run by the Hornung-Hornberger family who are welcoming and hospitable . Their staff too is friendly and Roxanna deserves a special mention for being a sincere charming and attentive hostess. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow tourists.

  Friendly Hotel, Breathtaking View, Clean and Tidy, Perfect Holiday

  This was our first visit to Switzerland and it did not disappoint. The hotel is very clean, tidy and organised and check in was quick and stress free and its evident the owners take pride in their charming hotel. The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking and we had all we needed for a comfortable stay that week. The food was lovely with a continental breakfast which is right up our street including cereals, fruit, cured meats, eggs, yogurt, lovely fresh bread everyday and the choice of cheese was amazing, being a huge cheese fan this made me very happy. The evening meal consisted of 2 starters, A choice of fish or meat for main course and a choice of a dessert, icecream or cheese selection, everything was cooked and presented really well and we enjoyed all of our meals. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring and the transport system is so efficient and well organised with a regular bus into Interlaken and a paddle steamer which was a lovely way to get about. All of the staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and a special mention to Roxy who made us feel very comfortable from the start of the holiday, after a long day travelling from England to Geneva then across to Iseltwald we were quite tired and she instantly lifted our spirits during dinner with her warm and friendly personality and continued to be very helpful during the week we spent there giving us travel, general advice etc .... Thankyou to all at Strandhotel for making our first trip to Switzerland a memorable one, we would certainly recommend you. Mr & Mrs Sheridan

  Such a special hotel

  Visiting Switzerland for the first time we stayed at The Strand Hotel. We found it to be very welcoming, cosy and the location was breathtaking !! We had a lake view from our balcony, our room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed, Including hairdryer, fridge, kettle and toiletries.The staff were very attentive and the meals were superb with two starters and a choice of meat or fish for the main meal and a choice of desserts, usually with an ice cream option and cheese option. The paddle steamer docks right outside the hotel and this goes to various places around the lake. There is a bus also which stops just behind the hotel which goes to Interlaken every hour and with the free bus from the Hotel this is great for getting to other places in the surrounding area. The setting for this hotel is second to none and the Isletwald itself is such a stunning place, we cannot wait to return one day.
