  Habitación amplia, limpia y bien remodelada

  Me desplacé a Binz por negocio. Era el tercer hotel de la zona al que iba (previamente Rügen Hotel Sassnitz y Rugard Stranhotel), y la experiencia previa no había sido muy recomendable. La compañía me reservó una habitación en este hotel y fue un acierto. El servicio de recepción fue muy atento (mención especial a que la recepcionista me acompañó hasta la habitación). La habitación era la 211, muy muy amplia, con una zona de escritorioy butacas separada de la de descanso mediante un amplio mueble donde descansaba la televisión. Respecto al aseo, muy moderno, se veía que era bastante reciente. Me gustó sobre todo la limpieza del lugar. En lo referente al desayuno, se da en la planta -1, coincidiendo con la salida a la calle por el otro lado del hotel. Muy variado, con fruta, yogures, embutidos y gran variedad de mermeladas, etc. No me he llegado a plantear cómo sería para ir en pareja, pero puedo asegurar que para estancias de negocios, cumple el expediente holgadamente. Tiene dos parkings, uno interior y otro al aire libre, con diferentes tarifas.

  A delightful hotel right on the Strand!

  My daughter (who lives in Berlin) and I spent 2 nights/3 days in Binz and the experience was perfectly lovely! From the moment we walked into the hotel lobby, their staff was very helpful and accommodating. Maria greeted us, explained how everything works there, met us in the parking garage to avoid any confusion with their well secured system and then walked us to our room. We lucked into a first floor room with private patio! And the best part was we were just steps from the Strand and beach. Delicious and gracious breakfast was included in the room price, as was wifi, beach access and a variety of other amenities. We splurged on a 30 minute massage, which was adequate, not awesome. Also, we enjoyed a delicious dinner there one night. But there were so many other dining options within a few steps as well. One thing we really appreciated was that we were a few blocks off the "Main" street and so it was a little less congested. We highly recommend staying at the StandHotel Binz and look forward to another visit one day!

  Airy, Pleasant, and Good Location

  I recommend this hotel for anyone who is thinking of visiting the Baltic coast but isn't sure where to stay. You can travel directly to Binz on a high-speed train, and the Strandhotel is only about a ten-minute walk from the station. The managers mean it when they say you can't check in until three, disheartening if you got up in the wee hours to have a full day at the beach, but they will store your luggage until you can check in. My room was small but comfortable, airy and breezy with a little balcony and partial sea view. The breakfast buffet is quite good, with several kinds of fish, and the room came with a comfortable, plushy white bathrobe. The beach is only steps away, across the boardwalk, and the town with restaurants, shops, and bike rental places is only a 10-15 minute walk down the boardwalk. Binz has a nineteenth-century, almost exotic Scandinavian feel with ornate, white wooden buildings. The Strandhotel contributes well to the pleasant atmosphere.

  Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

  Pretty much everything was terrible. We booked a "sea view" room (250 euros per night) that actually was a ground floor room on the street with a direct view on the food truck in front of the hotel so you cannot open the window or curtains unless you want everyone (it's a really busy street) to see you. I am attaching some pictures of the "view". The staff was horrible, they didn't speak English, which I don't mind since I have a B2 German level but even though they could obviously hear I'm not a native speaker they would speak super fast. When I mentioned the view on the street they just said "It's a promenade not a street", which doesn't really matter when you sleep between a food truck and a table... They're the rudest hotel staff I've ever interacted with, they made it super obvious they don't like people from abroad - most of the people staying at the hotel are from Germany. The room itself is nothing like the pictures on booking, I am also attaching some pictures. The bathroom is a kind of glass box inside the room so you can be on the toilets and speak to your partners at the same time (really romantic), there is no toiletries except a tube of shampoo/shower gel that was literally laying on the floor when we arrived. The bed and the furnitures in general were super old and cheap, the room overall looks super dusty and dirty. The walls had a lot of stains (also attaching a picture). I have no idea how this hotel can have 4 stars, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We went to the breakfast only once because it was some old cuts of cheese and meats from the day before, even the fruits were not freshly cuts and were dry and tasteless. The underground parking was horrible, I am also attaching pictures because it's so dirty and creepy - even for an underground parking. Everything was a total joke (especially for this price), it has nothing to do with what is advertised, it's a total scam.

  Strandhalle Binz on Rugen lsland

  Charmingly beautiful beachfront restaurant located in what used to be an old barn, dry quaint and traditional. The whole ambience is very warm and welcoming, just like the service there. The meals were of generous portions and were all very tasty. We had for starters, l had the delicious bouillabaisse from the Baltic Sea and my husband the amazing tasting pear and celery soup! We both went for the signature dish, the Baltic Sea cod in a nice and crusty potato batter and on a bed of creamy mustard sauce! Very pleasant to the palate and filling too. For desert, l had a most mouthwatering crême brûlée and my husband had the rhubarb with sea buckthorn ice cream. It was an altogether very pleasantly experience there and well worth the three week reservation prior to our visit. Would advise potential guests make reservations, as spontaneous guests are turned away. This restaurant is one of the most frequently visited ones on the island, so as the saying goes, a word is enough for the wise!
