  Waterside wonderfulness.

  This is a really neat and tidy place to stay. Beds are firm but comfortable and there is A/C if you need it. Location is great: overlooking the Alte Donau waterway. There is a handy supermarket round the corner if you want to pick up something not that you will be hungry after the excellent breakfast. There is a McD across the road too but seriously must you Big Mac it when there is so much else on offer? Getting to / from town is a breeze on the U1 (Alte Donau stop and walk across the bridge. Beware of kamikaze cyclists and scooter riders - walk to the side or else). Staff are friendly and helpful. Some rooms look out onto the water which is great but you will have some traffic noise in the morning. The rooms that face inwards dont have the view but are quieter. You pays your money..... Lastly the place is spotless. Even the terrace where you can have the aforementioned breakfast (or should that be breakfeast?) has leaves whisked away before they have a chance to make it untidy.

  Lovely hotel

  The hotel was recommended to us by a resident of Vienna as it was near the conference centre. We were very impressed by the location with lovely views of the waterway from our room. It was an easy walk to the tube that runs very frequently for trips into the centre of the city. Great to have a supermarket around the corner as well. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms were spotless, very well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed eating the delicious breakfast selection on offer out on the terrace. I would be very happy to return.

  Vienna NE stay

  Excellent lodgings! The room was better than homey for our family of three, with a large bed for the adults, and a fold-out for our son. The walk-in shower was modern and large. Very impressed. Breakfast buffet included breads, meats, cheeses, jams and jellies, and a comprehensive coffee service. Both indoor and patio seating, depending on the weather. The "beach" area is a patio and dock. The walk down into the water comprising of large pebbles. Still, seating, umbrellas and chairs, and swimming, if you wish. All you need do is ask for the key. Easy walk to public transport - both bus and bahn. A small parking lot available, and quick access to the NE suburbs. The staff is friendly, but English variable. Helpful if you know some basic German language.

  Absolutely great, perfect location and incredible service

  I have to start with the story of our completely delayed trip to Vienna, which made us arrive after the opening hours. Not only the owner stayed to open up for us, but also he gave us a tour and choice of room (upgraded too, which we found out later) plus many advice on sightseeing. The room was spatious, overlooking the river,cozy and ultra clean. The breakfast good. The thing that makes this place the most unique is however, above all this, the overwhelming kindness and helpfulness of the owners. They really put all their heart into this family business,apparently since generations, with a Gasthouse there before too. This is the biggest difference with all the big chains, a simple chat with the people for whom it is slightly more than a job. I give an honest and sincere recommendation to this hotel and will be definitely back there myself when time comes.
