  Comfortable hotel - weather didn't show it off at its best

  Stayed here with a group of friends whilst doing a 200 mile ride around Holland. Hotel is comfortable without being spectacular and has an ok bar and reasonable buffet breakfast. I'm sure the beach it is beside us very nice but it was wet and windy while we were here so didn't see it at its best

  The perfect sunset!

  We arrived at this recently re-opened en renovated hotel on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It appeared that the re-fit hadn't been completely finished by the look of all the boxes near reception and restaurant but the first impression was very good. Check-in was very friendly and quick in the spacious new reception area. We had booked an upgrade to a seaview room which was well worth the money. On the ground floor we had our own little patio (no furniture but a couple of chairs from our room were easily moved and we enjoyed a perfect sunset from the comfort of our room!) The room itself was spacious with two single beds pushed together, a cupboard, desk, table with 2 chairs and a further two comfortable seats. There was also a flat screen tv with a random selection of channels. The beds were very low and too soft for me. The bathroom was very small with a washbasin, toilet and an open shower, seperated from the toilet by a wall - not a place where more than 1 person could be at any one time..A hairdryer was also provided. This hotel claims to be 4* and although I enjoyed it and will probably go back again at some stage, 3* are more than enough. There is no safety deposit box in the room, no mini bar etc. There was a tray with coffee and tea but no glasses except the plastic cups in the bathroom. We had pre-booked a 3 course dinner for a set price but were dissappointed to find that we had to pay a supplement on nearly everything and would have been cheaper off to have paid as we were going along. Breakfast in the morning was buffetstyle, enough food but nothing that made it special. and quite a few times there were empty baskets/dishes which took time to be replenished. It looked as if the restaurant staff were still trying to find their way around things . There were lots of people serving but it seemed to take a long time and it seemed to be lacking in supervision - maybe this will get better in the coming weeks. Overall a pleasant stay.

  Great beachfront location

  Nice hotel, comfortable rooms. The day of my arrival was overcast and wet, with 30 knot winds blowing ashore, so my beach view was wasted. However, I did see a lot of windsurfers zipping around at high rates of speed. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the beach view in the sunshine was superb. The place seems very popular with older Dutch couples.

  very nice hotel

  The hotel is situated directly on the beach of the IJsselmeer. The restaurant is situated on the beach front and serves nice food and drinks for a reasonable price. Breakfast (buffet) is very good. The staff of the hotel is extremely friendly. We had a Waterfront room, spacious with modern bathroom (shower)

  2 families at a beautiful sea/lake setting.

  Setting was second to none! With beautiful weather a must see. Food was mediocre and service as well. Some dishes tasteless some sort of oke. Reception staff very friendly. Stay for the night but skip the restaurant.
