  The Best B & B We have ever stayed in

  This a great B & B we stayed in a large upstairs bedroom with ensuite & with a great view of the countryside from our window. Joan & Eamonn were wonderful hosts they were so friendly. For breakfast I had Eamonns special salmon & scrambled eggs & my husband said he had the best Irish breakfast in our whole stay in Ireland. The best part was that Eamonn spent time talking to us while we were eating our breakfast & he was in the nearby kitchen. They had good wifi. They were close to Cahirciveen town & all the sites to visit in the area. We loved our time here They had on-site parking also. Thanks Joan & Eamonn.

  Absolutely Lovely

  Spotless room with beautiful skylights. Eamon & Joan couldn't have been more welcoming. A solo traveller, they made me feel completely at home. Can't recommend Strand End enough. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

  Beautiful B&B to stay at!!!

  This was the first B&B we ever stayed at and it will not be our last! We stayed here 2 nights and Joan and Eamonn were absolutely wonderful hostesses. Love the Salmon and scrambled eggs along with all the other food choices and wonderful homemade bread! Eamonn even made breakfast earlier than their posted time because we were leaving early the next morning!!! Thanks for being so accommodating. The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!!

  A Charming Accommodation in a Charming Town

  We stayed with Joan and Eamon one evening during our walk on the carry way. We found their home to be warm and cozy and their hospitality to be extraordinary. At the end of a long day of walking, Eamon picked us up at an agreed meeting point and drove us to his home. Later that evening he drove us into town and showed us several restaurants and pubs where we might eat. Later that evening he returned to town to give us a ride to his home. Our room was clean and efficient and the breakfast Joan made for us was fantastic. Thank you Joan and amen for an experience of outstanding Irish hospitality.

  A Generous B&B

  Staying here is like staying with family. Hosts Eamon and Joan are very welcoming and friendly, and make you feel at home. Breakfasts are massive - you are well set up for the rest of the day (we recommend The Oratory should you need sustenance at night). You can help yourself to fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal while awaiting your personalized (and varied) hot breakfast - I especially like the smoked salmon. The Irish background music during breakfast is a nice touch. Fast wifi, great showers, soft towels, very comfortable bed, spacious room - all combined for a great sleep each night. We stayed 3 nights and didn't run out of things to do - it is well-located for a day trip to Dingle (we were so glad we stayed in Cahersiveen rather than the touristy Dingle peninsula) and of course the Skellig Islands trip. There are a number of nice walks on Valencia Island and area as well as great examples of ring forts. Without hesitation, we recommend this B&B.
