  A great stay!

  Awesome stay, warm, Inviting, quite comfortable. Beautifully and appropriately decorated with comfortable furniture. I was able to relax on their porch, and slept like a baby! The next time I stay in Indy, I know where I will be staying!

  Meh

  -Upon arriving, the total bill was higher than quoted online. When I asked about this, the substitute innkeeper ran through the charges and remarked, and $23 for the roses...oops, was I not supposed to tell you that? :( -When I went to use the in-room bathroom, there was (period?) blood on the handle. Disgusting. -There was a ring of black mold around the shower light. -The room was cool for most of the night but got noticeably warmer throughout the night to the point where we woke up sweating. There wasnt an in-room thermostat. -The continental breakfast selection was very good and offered waffles, fruit, pastries, yogurt and juice. The only downside was that all throughout breakfast, the innkeeper was in her office on a phone call and had the speakerphone on loudly throughout the entire duration of the call. This could be heard from upstairs as well.

  Short stay comfort

  I traveled to Indy for business and needed an overnight. Stone Soup Inn was wonderful. Very accommodating and friendly. My room was quite comfortable and remarkably clean. I had ordered the "warm welcome" because my flight schedule didn't allow for dinner and I arrived late in the evening. Generous and delicious cheese, crackers and fresh fruit. Enough for a late night snack and lunch the next day. And everything was priced right, I know where I'll stay next time I'm in town!

  Very nice - with the right room

  The staff here are all very pleasant and helpful; the breakfast is good, with a nice variety of choices; the main building is a beautiful craftsman-style house with a nice parlor and breakfast room. I'd stay here again - but not in the "Garden" room. It sounds inviting, but they don't mention the stairs you walk down (watch your head!) - this should really be called what it is: the "Basement" room. It's okay, but has little to recommend it. I imagine that a room in the house is more interesting.

  Do not stay here!

  We booked here but when the Coronavirus turned into a PANDEMIC and every event was cancelled we asked for a refund or credit. This situation is out of our control. This bed and breakfast shares bathrooms and eating areas with many people and if there is no reason to travel and spread germs we thought it was in our best interest not to. This has been declared a NATIONAL EMERGENCY by the White House. The owner was extremely rude and greedy and refused to refund us or give us a credit. There are multiple people on other occasions who had issues with refunds and the rooms. Do your research and look at the reviews people wrote. If I would have known some of this from the beginning I would not have even booked here. The responsible thing would have been to shut down and refund people their money, NOT take advantage of people.
