Great meal, fantastic resteraunt and a bowling alley

Booked a week skiing / boarding in Schladming, and decided to book in for a meal. Managed to get a late place in the bowling alley which was BRILLIANT for the kids. Its booked by time, rather than a game. Waitress service whilst bowling also a great service. Meal was fantastic, and the waiters really provided a fantastic table service in perfect English ! You will not be disappointed.

    NIGHTMARE

It was the WORST vacation of our lives. The accommodation does not arrive we got what we booked and no baby cot were prepared in advance as requested by the room. After some discussion we got a bigger room, but the next day they wanted to charge 80 EUR per day surcharge. The manager of the hotel was more discussion, it was astonishing how tone spoke with us. Angry, condescending and not helpful attitude rather soured our stay there. The customer service booking.com has given us the truth, we chose when booking a room based on the photos, but the small room were filled with pictures of the big room, it happened a misunderstanding. Another problem is that the child's baby cot charged for what we pay in the end, because the policy which included, although not by phone and e-mail indicated this to us before. EUR 15 per day had a surcharge for it. The breakfast is not bad but nothing special, the wellness area is open 3pm to 7pm, which is strange in a four star said to be the hotel. We got a 4* price for a 2* hotel style.. NEVER AGAIN!

Great location. Lovely food. Clean & spacious rooms.

We stayed for 9 nights over New Year. The location was excellent - literally ski in, ski out. Also 50m from the ski school meeting point which was perfect for dropping off my daughter. Lift passes can be bought in the hotel lobby. Our family room was large, clean & well maintained with a nice mountain view. The restaurant food was generally very good. There's a buffet at breakfast with a wide selection. At dinner, there's a buffet salad, delicious soup & another starter. The main course & desserts are served by the waiters & were of a high standard (& there were 4 mains to choose from each day). The service was friendly & efficient. The wine list was excellent. The owner was always around making sure that everyone's needs were being met. There's a fun bowling alley in the basement which can be rested by guests. We didn't try the spa as we were with my 6 year old, however, it looks new & must have great views. The wifi worked well 90% of the time. It worked in the rooms & restaurant but not in the bar. We would definitely return.

    Ski Holiday

Easy parking for both unloading the skis into the locker room and then for the rest of the week. It is very close to the slope and no need to ski all the way down to the bottom for the chair lift, the "half way" lift is a slight downhill ski. Excellent Food, great Service. Wellness facilities are also very good though no hot-tub.

Nice skiarea - Nice Roms - but not this hotel again

We had the great pleasure of skiing the Schladming mountains, good skiing - recommended. We travelled 2 families of 4 and stayed at Hotel Erlebniswelt. Nice new, clean rooms. Great location - ski in/out. The spa area is nice, not for kids. In general the 4 kids found the hotel boring compared to what else is available when skiing in Austria. There was very little of room for playing and socializing. There is a small bowling area which is charged 8eur/30min. In general our expression was that everything was profit-optimized: limited spritz in the drinks - almost like water, not fresh bread, same salad bowels every night, which was refilled/topped. Overall the half board was a bit boring and in general limited flavor and taste. Children menu was extremly limited to snitzel or spaghetti bolognese every night. Some day possibility choosing fish stick buffe..... kids was not allowed To choose adult menu. Possibility of choosing a stake with an added price of between 15-24eur. We had 3 of 4 kids sick in bed with stomach problems for 36 hour. They where all 3 having the spaghetti that night as the only ones. Not necessary that the spaghetti was to blame, but when mentioning it to the hotel manger/owner for his awareness, only reply was I eat spaghetti every night and I am not sick then turned around and walked away. We will like come back to the skiing area but we will choose a different hotel.
