  Great vegan dining and breakfast, lovely rooms

  The restaurant were told beforehead that I'm vegan and I had excellent food, for lunch, dining and breakfast - and coffee break too! I'm impressed! The rooms in the castle is all different furnished, beautiful and comfortable beds. Stjärnholms slott belongs to Strängnäs diocese and have a lovely chapel with lunch prayers and masses.

  Charming place and philosophical atmosphere

  The place is really charming and stimulates some philosophical thoughts due to the calm and the relaxing environment. We have been in the dependance whose kitchend and common area are useful and nice. The main building (a sort of castle) is impressive but we did not have the chance to visit the rooms there. The park around is also nice and ideal for nice walks in the local nature. The space is not missing due to the facilities around and the location is also strategic for the position not really far from the Cpital of Sweden. I had the feeling i wanty to come back in here sometimes.

  Good accommodation with serene surroundings

  I enjoyed staying at this place. Rooms are very clean and functional. Has free WiFi and a good breakfast. Walking around the castle and in the garden in the morning was really refreshing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

  Such a peaceful location.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We received a lovely welcome from the lady on reception. Our room was in the slott, up on the second floor. A lovely cosy room with a very comfortable bed. It had a lovely view of the sea. The room was typical for a building of this age, and even had one of the old beams. We had no problems with the WiFi. There wasnt air con, but the window opened wide and was fine. Fortunately, there is a lift, which has an interesting interior. There is tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits always available down stairs, in a room off the reception hall. A buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant and there is a good choice of hot and cold items. The food is replenished throughout the service. We also had dinner both nights. The food and the service were excellent on both occasions and we thought that it was good value for money. The grounds are extensive and tranquil and there is no shortage of parking. The same lady at reception also helped us to organise a day trip on the train to Stockholm. We went from the local station in Nyköping, where there was plenty of cheap parking. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

  Acastle now belonging to the church and hosting many camps and conferences meaning there are canoes and bikes available. Rooms are OK, charming details but basic added bathrooms and beds that could be of a higher quality.
