  Perfect

  My husband and I stayed here, in suite number 6, for our birthday night away. It was absolutely perfect. We were served by several members of staff at various times and all of them were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. They seem the type of staff that genuinely want to make each guest have a wonderful stay in their hotel. This effort from the staff is the main reason we enjoyed our stay but on top of that the hotel it's self was wonderful. The lounge area was very comfortable with a lovely fire keeping everyone warm. We enjoyed drinks here and also some lunch. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was faultless and good value for money too. The suite we stayed in was immaculately clean and decorated and furnished to a luxurious standard. The only niggle we had was the jacuzzi bath couldn't be operated by the buttons and only by the mains, also the shower was weak. If they installed a new powerful shower the bathroom too would have had a lovely finish. We paid for dinner, bed and breakfast and honestly think the value for money was outstanding. We look forward to being able to return one day soon. Thank you Stirk House.

  Total chill out only stone throw away from us.. Lancashire has a lot to offer

  Stayed at the Stirk house for 2 nights. The staff at this hotel are absolutely excellent. You can tell that each one of them enjoys what they do. Especially Dave... What a gem he is. He made sure we were looked after from the minute we arrived until leaving. Louise on reception was excellent too. Really friendly and couldnt do enough for us. The restaurant was lovely . We were offered the same seats both nights of our stay and we happy with this arrangement. The food was outstanding. I had the fillet steak one night and I have to say was exceptional. Breakfast was excellent too... the produce was fantastic and the staff at breakfast were really smiley and jovial... even in Covid times they made it look effortless and you could tell they enjoy what they do. The whole team work well together. We had afternoon tea also and this was delicious and good value for money. The room was massive, spotless and perfect for what we wanted. We had an excellent sleep and it Was lovely and quiet. Cant wait to return. Thanks to all at the Stirk Regards liz and dave

  Lazy Sunday Afternoon

  Visited Sunday 18th October for our anniversary treat from our girls. Cream tea and prosseco to start followed by a walk round the beautiful grounds. We were greeted at reception by friendly helpful staff who provided us with a sealed bag of goodies for the room. The room was warm and spotlessly clean.Our evening meal was excellent-lots of choice and delicious.Breakfast was also delicious and staff were really pleasant and could not do enough for us. Can't wait for a repeat performance =would highly recommend- Thank you Stirk House

  Wedding

  On the 24/9/20 my son and now his wife had the most fantastic wedding even though they could only invite 13 of their loved ones, the hotel the staff great and Dave the master of ceremonies made the day.Thank you mother of the groom.

  Birthday staycation !

  Stayed at Stirkhouse for my husbands birthday. Wanted a local hotel in the same county and this appealed due to local walking area. Staff lovely. Room spacious excellent bathroom huge wrap round towels. Food excellent stayed dbb .
