Nice area but main road a problemWe visited this apartment in September 2013, The apartment is basic but clean and tidy. We stayed in apartment 3 which has two rooms, one double room which also has a small table and kitchen area. The other room has twin beds. There is a balcony with great sea views. Locally there is a small beach which is accessed by 270 steps, Close by are the two small villages of Mlini and Plat which have a greater choice of bars and restaurants. Although close by the access is via a main road with no pavements. From Mlini and Plat there are various boat trips along the coast to Cavat and Dubrovnik and further afield if required. The city of Dubrovnik is worth a few visits both by day and by night. We traveled to the island of Korcula by mini bus (short boat trip required to access island), The scenery on this was fantastic and the town of Korcula is like a small version of Dubrovnik.

Excellent customer service and great valueI stayed with my boyfriend in apartment 1 after booking with sunshine. When we arrived late in the evening, Stella was really welcoming and moved us into the sea view room as it was empty. The bedroom was the perfect size for us, you have the option to eat inside or out on the balcony. There isn't a lot of surface space but it was enough for the two of us. I really liked the shower as it was strong and there was also air conditioning in the room. Stella was so kind to us, she surprised us with pastries and gave us a satellite box so that my boyfriend could watch the world cup in our room. On the last day our flight was at 9:40pm so even though we were supposed to check out at 10am she let stay in the apartment until 7pm as no one was arriving that day. The location was perfect for us as it is in between Dubrovnik and Cavat. The bus to the old town costs 18 kuna each way and to Cavat it is 20 kuna. The apartments were really good value as the accommodation in the old town is a lot more expensive and not as scenic, we certainly wouldn't have been able to afford a stunning sea view room like that being students (we are both 20). It is also nice to be away from the crowds in Dubrovnik. The only problem with the location is that even though there was a market 10 minutes walk away, it was on a busy road with no foot path so we just bought our food in the old town or Cavat before we came home. The buses run until half 1 in the morning so we only had to get a taxi once as a match finished late, I would avoid getting a taxi if possible as ours came to 180 kuna one way. There is a beach really close by which isn't packed like the beaches in Dubrovnik. I would definitely recommend here and would stay again, if you are on a budget the buses come every half an hour, if not I would suggest getting a car as there is a lot to explore in the area.

Perfect getawayThe tour operator that we travelled with had booked these in error, we had booked apartments in the centre of dubrovnik and they had booked these that were several kilometres from the city. As you can imagine we went with low expectations, , how wrong could we be. These apartments were excellent, spotlessly clean with the owner Stella welcoming but not intrusive and kindly arranged for her son to pick us up from the airport. If you are looking for peace and quiet in an area of natural beauty this is the place for you, the views from our sea view apartment were stunning and waking up to this every morning and having breakfast on the balcony was the perfect start to our day. There were no shops, bars or restaurants nearby which meant either walking to mlini or plat, both of which took about 15 minutes to walk to and that was along a busy road. Buses to either dubrovnik or cavat run every half an hour so for us it wasn't a problem as we were on a tight budget, however hiring a car would have been ideal. We did loads of walking and the small pebble beach of soline is about 5 minutes walk down many many steps opposite the apartments, well worth it but a killer walking back up them, , we counted over 200 so not for those with mobility problems. We fell in love with Croatia and these apartments are an absolute gem, we want to go back, so if you are looking for no frills clean comfortable accommodation in an area of outstanding beauty then don't hesitate to book these, you won't be disappointed.

Ah-maze-IngWe booked this place thinking it was closer to Dubrovnik then it actually was but we are so glad we got to stay here! There is a bus that takes you to old town & an amazing beach just down the hill & 100000 steps.. The rooms are basic but all you need with a little kitchenette &!the lady who runs the apartments was super helpful with organising us a way to the airport.. We really enjoyed our stay here :)

Simple, with a beautiful viewWe were in Croatia for a wedding and I accidentally booked this apartment rather than the Stella Apartments in the Old Town. Upon arrival Stella (who lives below) was super friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The apartment itself was more like a hotel room with an ensuite shower room and toilet, it did have an electric hob, however trying to cook anything on this was a real challenge, it took an hour to boil an egg one morning. The view was stunning each morning so it made up for everything. We were really far away from everything staying here and felt a bit isolated because we did not have a car. Be warned a taxi costs 200 Kuna which is about £24 each way. We worked out the bus system eventually it is 18 Kuna each way (£1.80) but you have to remember to get off at the correct stop, otherwise you are taken into the bus station and have to take another very crowded bus into the Old Town which is a further 15 Kuna (£1.50). The bus system isn't the most straight forward and at night time it can be tricky to see your stop in the dark! Dubrovnik is a stunning place but more costly than anticipated we took £400 for 5 nights and ended up having to take out more cash and paying on credit card. Wine and beer are cheap and there are some well priced pizzeria restaurants but shop around prices vary significantly!
