  Vacaciones fabulosas pero...

  El hotel cuenta con un excelente servicio. El desayuno incluido en el precio de las habitaciones es sensacional, completo y muy variado. La atención del personal es única. El hotel posee una área de Spa y descanso increíble. El jacuzzi, aunque ya un poco antiguo, es un lugar sensacional para admirar las vistas de los viñedos y de la ciudad en sí. Tiene un nuevo anexo donde las habitaciones despliegan buen gusto y una ubicación perfecta. Mi desagrado es la cantidad de niños menores de 12 años que saltan, juegan, y hacen un ruido terrible en el jacuzzi y áreas de alberca. Nadie controla a esos niños ruidosos cuyos padres no tienen en cuenta que a ese hotel se va a descansar. Lleven a sus niños a lugares aptos para niños y dejen a los mayores disfrutar de la tranquilidad que brinda ese entorno.

  Short get away from the City

  The area and location of the resort is fantastic and walking distance to hiking trails and 10 min walk to the town for just a beautiful stroll. We travelled as a family of 5 with kids age 15, 12, 10 and so even if we booked the suite with a rolling bed we had to get another room. Unfortunately there were no connecting rooms. The suite we had, had its own sauna which was nice. The gym was very decent. And the breakfast had a great variety even for my children who are picky eaters. I didn't use the pool or shared sauna but looked good. The only thing I would say was on the weaker side was the dinner. A special touch was there was free tea time fun 3-5pm. As a short getaway it was very relaxing

  Vienna Great Escape

  My husband and I are regular guests at the Steigenberger Krems. We throughly enjoyed most of the amenities, mainly the wellness area and the awesome breakfast buffet crowned by the excellent service and attention from the staff. Our exhortation to the manager team is as follows. Since the hotel provides such an opulent wellness service, it should take into account that the usage of the wellness area and the pool should be limited to individuals 12 years and up. Babies and small children can not control their natural needs, therefore and for the hygiene of the pool, it should not be allowed to have them in the pool even though the new diapers technology promises to be so advanced. We would also like to comment that the steam sauna is not working efficiently producing enough steam. A great renovation is due for this facility.

  Disappointed

  The room was great, the view was great, the spa and relaxation facilities were nice and quiet, but the reason we chose this hotel was its supposed indoor heated pool. The water was cold! I would understand it if it were summer and people wanna be refreshed. But hellooo, it is winter! We want a soothing warm experience. We tried observing people's body language just to check if we were over reacting..... when they tip toe into the water, they chill and step back instead of diving straight into the water. Some totally just sit and dont soak at all. I should have listened to that one review that mentioned the water was not warm enough! I was choosing between this hotel and a villa in Durnstein and I chose this over that because of the supposed indoor warm pool. Had I known I could not swim anyway, I would have just chosen the villa right in front of the Danube with its own sauna, but no pool. Big mistake! If they heated this pool to the right temp, I would give them at least a 4. I would tone down the lights and play soft spa music and HEAT the pool if I were the management, only till then can they deserve a 5 stars rating

  Nice hotel but terrible housekeeping

  We stayed in the Krems Steigenberger hotel from Wednesday the 8th of July till 14th of July. The hotel is very nice and reception staff very helpfull, but the housekeeping service is very bad for such a kind of hotel. When we came to our room the first day we had a mess on the balcony. So we expected to be cleaned the other day, but nothing happened. We had to ask the reception to send them to clean it. It was not very nice..there were rests of cigarettes etc.. So they clean this, but they did not care about the floor where they left the rests of the leaves from trees etc..I would have cleaned it automatically when the guest is complaining about the cleanliness of the balcony.. Unfortunatelly it continued..the day after the housekeeping took the wine and beer glasses from the room but didn't give us a new one. Also they didn't check the handkerchiefs and the showergel so we had to ask again the reception..other day we didn't get the towels to the spa.. From Wednesday! they didn't clean the floor in the room and in the bathroom also...if you go through the hall you can see mess on the carpet because they are not vacuuming and cleaning the floors. On the edge of the outside jacuzzi (in the back) there was a dirt when you put the finger on that you had it black.. To be honest I have never had such a bad experience in Europe's hotels with housekeeping..eventhough your hotel is a 4*.
