Beautiful hotel - crappy reception and disappointing superior rooms. The pros - the hotel is located on beautiful premises and across the street from the Kurpark rose garden entrance. The breakfast is superb and is in a beautiful setting. The spa and saunas cannot be beat - just amazing. The service within the hotel dining area and pool was excellent. The cons - initial contact with Birgit from reservations was poor. After prepaying a two night stay in a superior room, I did not get my confirmation immediately. Birgit took off and was not available the next day. When I called reservations Realyn could not find my reservation. Finally at 4pm the next day, after claiming it was sent , she resent my confirmation. We got to the hotel in the rain. The free parking was pretty far from the entrance so we had to pay 15 euros per day to park at the hotel. Would be a nice courtesy to discount the parking for hotel guests. The hotels architecture is like a railroad track - wear your trekking shoes to get from reception to your room. See pic 1-3. You have to walk through several corridors, or bar and other hotel areas to the elevator and then walk further. The biggest disappointment was our room. The hotel was far from full and we got a superior room over the garage facing into someones house. See pic. The room is not updated - classical legacy furniture type and was really small for the price of a superior room at a 5 star hotel. Note again- the hotel was far from full. I asked for a larger room and was told Id have to pay for the upgrade. I then asked for a room in the same category with a better view - it was without a balcony. So we stayed in room 1225 one night. Beware! The next day, as we sat on the balcony looking into peoples windows and vice verse, see pic 4, I asked the front desk to see the manager. Isabel and Elena were quick to ask what was wrong . They did not say sure just a moment as I would have expected. I assume they did not want me to register my feelings to their GM. I asked for a room change and they quickly found us a room with a better view. It was really unpleasant having this situation and having to move rooms. Of all superior rooms - over the garage and looking into peoples houses instead of a beautiful view - what was the receptionist that received us thinking. The front desk young woman - no names dont want her to get fired- should have thought clearly that we were very unhappy with our initial room and should have changed it immediately on arrival. There were so many rooms facing the beautiful grounds on both sides. Instead of letting me voice myself to the general manager - customer relations will read this here. Too bad and too late. Mr. Messner - it would have been nice to meet you.

Nice locationWe stayed here for one night in June and had a pleasant stay. Our room had a balcony with a lovely view over a park that has an incredible flower/plant garden. It really is worth having a stroll through it. The room was good but the bathroom wasn't what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. The bathroom was rather small and you had to shower standing in the bath. Not a problem but not 5 star in my view. Breakfast was very good and staff at reception were friendly and welcoming. Rather slow service on the terrace outside though when we wanted to drink something.

Great breakfast however average experienceThis hotel has got the best breakfast and location however I found my room to be smaller than expectation. I have given 3 stars based on following reasons. 1. I lost my swimming costume which I had kept on the long chair by the side of inside pool. How difficult it is to find one when you are staff working all the time. I informed them but to no success. 2. The sauna, steam bath area mentions all details and signs in German language. So it was difficult as well as non welcoming. As a guest, you dont want to have that feeling. Apparently thats the only area I found to be like that because rest of the areas have English language as well. 3. Although overall the staff is courteous, however once I wanted to get a taxi at the Buchloe station and I waited to hear back for 10 mins but didnt receive call back to confirm about my taxi details so had to call them back and get it cancelled. I think a 5 star hotel reception should have better English skills to avoid confusion. 4. Lastly, I think its general courtesy to ask the guest at the time of check out if everything was okay/experience etc. The lady checkin me out offered none so leaves me high and dry. 5. On my second last night before check out, we went to German restaurant inside the hotel around 7.30pm and for sure waited for good 12-15 mins on the table in front of reception before anyone could greet us (3 people).

Amazing and welcoming, especially the restaurants..We went back to this fabulous Hotel and is getting better and better. The newly appointed Spa and outside pool are just top class but what really impressed us was the food and beverage offer. In essence... we had the best Bouillabaise we ever had, the wine by the glass in the French Restaurant is so tastefully chosen. The waitresses are so professional and friendly, we really felt like going back home... Great value for money for the services in hand. It is an impeccable hotel run by real professionals. Well done you.

Lovely place but skip with kidsSo while this was truly a wonderful place (albeit avoid the rooms facing the dining areas we ended up moving rooms for an up charge) and the staff was very accommodating - It was immensely disappointing that all kids under 14 are not allowed in the pool, the lawn area for sunbathing or indoor swimming facilities after 14:00. Sauna only over 16 which is probably fine. But if you pay this kind of rate and you cant even use the facilities half day, I would skip. Again, staff was lovely, great breakfast but just change the Resort to an adult facility. For solely an overnight stay with a great breakfast it is too pricey. That may be a better choice. I would go again but only as a couple. No question. Dont miss the Kneipp Garten. Lovely little town. Downgraded to 3 stars for the kids aspect.
