Average hotelWell, hotel rooms a little bit small and could be improved by more cleaning. Especially between beds and walls. I had to wipe the toilet seat as there were some stains on it. So not very impressed with that. Rooms have nice balconies but someone can easily get to your balcony from the neighbouring room. We had a room on the first floor near the lift and the breakfast noises woke me up doors are not blocking any noise from outside sadly. TV small. Well, for the price it's ok for one or two nights. Nice large swimming pool but you cant jump and there are certain opening hours as they have a lifeguard there.breakfast not bad included in the price.

The ideal locationHaving grown up in this area, Varkiza was always considered one of the best places to go swimming in the Athenian region. Here enter Stefanakis Hotel: it's location is ideal to enjoy the sea and the beach: get out of the hotel, turn right and go all straight down to Yabanaki beach - did you know that Ya-banaki means "for swimming"? Stefanakis Hotel is also ideally located to go eating some great fish at Psarakia kai Thalassina situated at the centre and meat at Bavaria situated uphill among the other Greek traditional specialties.

The room was not clean but the swimming pool was niceThe floor in the room was literately covered by long black hairs which were not ours. That was horrible. The bed was cosy. The bathroom was very small and the shower in a half bathtub with a shabby curtain was not comfortable. The staffs were kind but I would choose another hotel for the next time.

Simple but lovely!!! :-)We went to Varzika for our friends' wedding and were looking for an affordable option and not too far from the wedding venue. The hotel is quite simple and the breakfast options are not vast but the rooms were very clean, we slept quite and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The swimming pool was lovely and very clean too. There are quite a few restaurants, bakeries and a quite big supermarket nearby. We really enjoyed our stay there! We would definitely recommend it

Outstanding HospitalityThis is a wonderful hotel with outstanding hospitality, in the charming seaside suburb of Varkiza, on the Athenian Riviera. It is in Athens, but outside the central area, in a tranquil and relaxing precinct across the road from the beach and only a quick taxi ride away from the enchanting Vouliagmeni Lake. It is also very proximate to the airport, only 20 minutes drive away if that. When I first arrived in Athens I stayed at the Sofitel at the airport on the grounds that it was on-site and with easy access to my flight to Rhodes the next morning. However, now that I know Stefanakis Hotel Apartments, it would be just as easy to jump in a taxi and travel directly here, even if you have another flight the next day. The only reason I might stay actually at the airport again is if I have a very early morning departure between 5-8am. Anything after that and I would stay here at Stefanakis. My room was basic but cool and pleasant, there's a swimming pool (which I didn't use as I prefer the sea and the lake). The highlight of staying here were the family who owned the hotel and their staff. They were really hospitable and kind and personally farewelled me as I departed for my flight to Dubai and Singapore. I had only stayed here two nights! As I left the hotel the owner gave me moistened tissues with the hotel's logo emblazoned on it and said "here - for coolness." I kept them with me all the way to Singapore. Then, when at Changi Airport, awaiting my flight to Auckland in the KrisFlyer Lounge, I couldn't find any napkins or serviettes in the crowded dinning area but realised I kept Stefanakis's tissues in my pockets from 4 days before. I opened the packed and these delightful fresh tissues fell into my fingers and I was able to cool and refresh myself just as the owner had said! One could easily stay here for two weeks and have a marvellous holiday: a perfect combination of sea, sun and proximity to central Athens and its sapphire and turquoise blue coastline.
