Perfect Trip Ending!Spent rewards points for a free last night of a great 3 week road trip. I was upgraded to the two-bedroom suite which was WONDERFUL! It truly was a 2 bedroom apartment. 1 bedroom with en-suite bath, an easy chair, closet dresser and tv, as well as king size bed. Second bedroom also had en-suite bath, queen bed, desk tv, etc. Living area had sofa, easy chair, a couple of ottomans, nice size dining table with four chairs. The equipped kitchen area adjoined with 2-burner stove top, microwave, dishwasher and full size fridge. Everything was well maintained and clean. They also had nice casual space with fire pit outside and a basketball court. They offered a happy hour in the lounge in the evening with complimentary wine, beer, salad, and quesadillas. I was very impressed and sad I was only there one night. Only drawbacks - Towels are AWFUL. They are newish and clean, not worn - but more like trying to dry with a bath mat. I had issues getting the main tv to work properly but after unplugging and reconnecting twice, it worked ok. Highly recommend

Awesome ExperienceThe suites are wonderful for families traveling with teenagers. We try to always choose Staybridge when we are traveling with our 16 year old. She enjoys the freedom of having her own space and we do also. In addition, there are times when we need to travel with our dog and Rocky is always welcomed at Staybridge Inn & Suites. We also enjoy having breakfast at Staybridge because there is something for everyone. I do not eat pork but even without bacon on my plate, I can always find plenty of protein so that I do not have to load up on carbs. Sometimes I've been around for the evening hospitality hours and it is a great time to meet other guests and the food is always the best.

Perfectly adequateMy wifes employer is based in Illinois capital city of Springfield and we ventured downstate to attend her Christmas party. It must be noted that the Staybridge Suites were chosen for us by her employer, who have an arrangement with the property and were footing the bill for our one nights stay. My wife went ahead of me because she had a work meeting that morning and thus was the one to check in. She reported that the check in process was a bit complicated because of whose name the reservation was listed under, but that was quickly rectified. The property itself is situated just south of I-72 in what can probably be best described as an industrial park with some big box stores and car dealerships mixed in. Aside from a Bob Evans, a Steak n Shake, and a large supermarket, there are no places to eat nearby. Considering that the Staybridge is geared largely towards extended stays (more on this later) perhaps this is of less consequence, but for those staying only a night or two it should be considered. As one might imagine, parking is plentiful. We stayed in room 323 on the top floor, which seemed to be a standard room. The door opened into the kitchen area (kitchenette?) and then the living area, which held a desk and a large sectional. The kitchen area had everything one would need to prepare meals, save an oven: full-sized fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, plates, bowls, glasses, cookware, utensils, etc. The TV swiveled and was between the bed and the living area. There was a Bluray player attached, but it lacked any connectivity to streaming services, either directly or through screen casting, which could be a drawback for those staying for extended periods. The bed was disappointingly small: it was definitely not a king, and if it was a queen, it certainly didnt seem like it, plus the distance between the TV stand and the bed was an extremely tight squeeze. The bed itself was comfortable enough and was flanked by lamps with an alarm clock on one side. The bathroom consisted of a separate room with the toilet and bathtub; outside of it was the sink with a closet directly opposite. Hot water was plentiful, the water pressure was good, and there was an ample supply of towels. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided in large bottles that were attached to the wall, with the only other provided bath items being a small bottle of lotion, a bar of soap, and a makeup removing towel. One minor complaint about the room was the lack of dedicated USB plugs as are commonly found in more recently constructed hotel rooms, thus belying the age of this particular property. Wireless internet was free and worked flawlessly, however. Room literature indicated that a hot breakfast buffet was available in the morning, but we did not partake. A small room off the reception area sold various items for those unwilling/unable to venture out. Checkout consisted of handing keys to the front desk clerk and walking out the door. All in all, the room served its purpose for one night. The location is good if youre passing through the area to the south. If youre actually staying for an extended period, however, you may find yourself wishing for additional space and the ability to actually watch Netflix on the TV.
