Not my first choiceRates were reasonable. Included breakfast was fine. Mattress needs replacing. Small space between bottom right corner of bed and TV stand causes hip bruises (see photo.) Pool is closed due to "renovation." Oddly, the pool was closed for the same reason when we stayed here a year ago. Will try somewhere different on our next trip.

Extremely unprofessional managerThis morning I went to make coffee, and realized that the coffee pot had old, molding coffee in the pot, and an old coffee filter still inside. My husband moved in to the room on Friday, and I myself came yesterday (Sunday). My husband by the way does not drink coffee. I immediately went to speak with the front desk about this incident in our room. I expressed how it did not instill much confidence in me that our room had been cleaned properly, according to regular standards, let alone the standards that should be upheld during this time of the Covid Pandemic. She immediately started getting defensive and said "I dont know what you want me to do, Im sorry. I can go switch it out for you. I said how I was happy to clean it myself, but that I just wanted to make sure that the management team was aware that the rooms werent being cleaned properly, and she cuts me off at the end and said, I am the manager and walks out on me talking. She goes on talking about how they only clean the rooms once a week and they dont have the staff. I informed her again that this was left from the prior residents, not our family, thinking that maybe she misunderstood me. She says Oh I know..I can tell she is getting upset, so say, I realize this isnt your fault directly, I just wanted to let you know that maybe your team should be briefed better." She comes out crying and still very defensive and says, Oh Im aware. I have to check the rooms after their done. Then she goes to say, "we dont have the staff for this. Im so tired of this crap. She then says something that is extremely unprofessional; She says then why are you even traveling. Not that I should have to explain myself, but my family is being required to move because we are in the Military. We dont have a choice in the situation. Believe me, I would rather NOT be traveling during this time. I understand that people are under a lot of pressure and at reduced manning during this time we are in, but that does NOT make it okay to be so completely unprofessional. Had she handled the situation professionally, by simply hearing me out and not getting defensive, my review would have gone VERY differently. Not to mention, I kept my cool with her despite her behavior, but what if I had gotten defensive back? How would she have acted then? You dont walk out on customers. You dont yell at them that youre so tired of this crap, you dont snap at them asking why theyre even traveling if they dont want to deal with it, and you definitely dont say that you are fully aware that the rooms are not being cleaned properly. WHICH might I add she said more than once. Very disappointed.

BAD SERVICE-UNTRUE HOTEL-UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERPhoned the hotel in advanced to request the right room type and was not giving to. Was told that the employee that i spoke too did not note the account nor did they block office the rooms. Called and got a very person that told me that the general manager was in and would call me back. Then called back 2 hours later and finally after so much of put me off and then finally spoke to the general manager that stated to me that she had just walked in the hotel and was not there when i had called 2 hour earlier. I got a untrue statement from the gate keeper preventing me when talking to the hotel general manager which by they came on to me very rudely and surely. I ended up contacting guest relations. The room itself had hair in the tub. I am bald and would not have 18 inch hair. Staff was not good. Only one lady was nice. Would not stay at this hotel again. Still no resolution from guest relations nor any other contact from the hotel. To make this even worst, we were in town for a funeral.

Great staff! We've been traveling back and forth to this area for several months due to the illness of a family member. We chose this hotel intentionally because my daughter has been doing online school due to the pandemic and the layout of the suite with separate bedroom and living area met our needs for her to have adequate school space. They're open but in the midst of a major renovation/update so everything will be finished and all new within a few weeks. The staff in this hotel are wonderful!!!!! We've had a specific schedule because of her school that couldn't be interrupted. The few times we needed something from staff including room cleaning, they worked around her school schedule. During the illness and subsequent passing of our father/grandfather, the staff were so supportive!!!! They all asked frequently how he was doing. It was like staying with family. Their bedroom/suite space is really nice. Kitchen is small but met our needs. Wifi held up for her to stream her school classroom in Maryland and for me also to do work at times for my job. There are a number of hotels in this area and we've stayed in several of them through the years as hotels in this area are often booked up in advance but we come back to this one whenever it's available because of the staff and the space. Staybridge is also a pet-friendly hotel and even welcomes larger dogs. While we haven't brought a pet here, we enjoy seeing the pets of other guests. It adds to the home feeling of the hotel
