  HORRIBLE HOTEL! DON'T CHOOSE THIS IF YOU WANT TO CONTROL YOUR ROOM TEMPERATURE

  We choose Staybridge Suites because usually these properties are reliable and comfortable. NOT SO THIS TIME. They have installed a system of motion sensors in the guest rooms that SIGNIFICANTLY alters the guest's chosen room temperature when the system allegedly "know" that the guest has left the room. Think about it. The minute I fell asleep, and stopped moving, the "system" raised the room temperature by 5-7 degrees. I awoke multiple times during the night in a horribly hot and stuffy room, in a sweat. EVERY TIME I checked the thermostat, and on a warm summer night, the system had decided that I'd left my room, and raised the temperature of the room significantly. RIDICULOUS! Would it also shut off the heat in the winter? NOT an acceptable means of controlling electricity usage. AND a potential health hazard for some people who MIGHT have health conditions that render them heat sensitive....for example, Multiple Sclerosis. When I DID get up and check the thermostat, it took 15 minutes for the system to "decide" that I'd returned to my room, and then I was blasted with freezing cold air for another half hour. Fell asleep, until the NEXT awakening in a sweat. UNACCEPTABLE. Not a budget hotel.

  Wonderful Location, clean rooms, great staff

  My wife and I stayed at this location while checking out the western part of Michigan. The price at this location was one third of hotels located on or near the shores of Lake Michigan and it was only 30 minutes away from the beach. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was absolutely amazing. We would highly recommended this location

  Good for a one night stay with family and dog

  The hotel looked like it had been recently renovated and was close to the airport, but not along any landing pattern. The breakfast buffet was the standard hotel food variety but tastier than most with hot and cold items. We used American Express points for the stay and not all room types were available. We would have used a 2BR unit instead of a pullout couch, but for 1 night that was OK.

  Outstanding

  The Holiday Inn across the street was awful, so I went across the street to the Staybridge. These guys were fantastic. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff - especially at the front desk. I will definitely stay here on future business trips.

  Great Stay

  We originally booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express. When we arrived we were informed that there was no pets allowed. Apparently there was some mix up when booking through the app. They staff were great and called around to get us a room at a pet friendly Staybridge. When we arrived at the new hotel the staff were efficient and the check in effortless. Our suite was roomy and great. The breakfast was super and refreshing compared to the other hotels we had stayed at the last several days.
