  Very rude staff and cheated of security deposit

  I was lodged here for 13 days by my company in February. In arrival the service staff noted that for Stay this long, I'll have to pay security deposit of $100. If I buy anything from their pantry, it'll be deducted and the balance will be refunded after check out. When I checked out, I asked specifically for the "procedure for the refund, will it be paid back to my card or cash" and the lady responded that there is no such thing. I tried to explain myself and she cut me short that she'll repeat herself again only once. There is no refund as there was no such thing as security deposit. It was just a $100 authorization. I said, anywhere is the world, authorization is $1, and that was reversed instantly but I was charged $100. She raised her voice at me that she has explained herself and what more do I want. She doesn't have anything else to pay me. This is highly embarrassing for me in front of all the other guest in the lobby. I requested that she should not raise her voice and she was like ok now she's done with me. I left highly embarrassed. My company secretary got in touch with them. They apologized and realized that is true they will do the refund the following day. 2 weeks after, no apology issued, no refund. I contacted IHG, those ones simply dissociated themselves and said they cannot help. Both IHG and Staybridge care about your cash and not your well being.

  Mark is horrible

  I had a reservation for tonight. I called to inquire about it when I arrived in town, and I was greeted by a rude front desk agent named Mark. Due to my brief interaction with Mark, I decided to take my business elsewhere. My colleague went to make a separate reservation hoping to have a different experience, but Mark was even ruder to him. We both decided that Stay Bridge was not the place for us and decided to stay at a holiday inn with a better experience. As long as Mark is employed, I will not recommend this hotel to a dog.

  Very pleasant stay

  We used to frequent this hotel long before covid and are only too happy to be able to return. We were greeted by Ashley at checkin and had a very nice visit. She was very accommodating to our needs. The accommodations were as we had remembered so it was like coming home. Bed was very comfortable, the room was fairly quiet even though we were next to the expressway. The bathroom amenities were good. The lack of water pressure for the shower wasnt a surprise. The hotel management had just switched over from the breakfast buffet to a grab and go the week before we arrived so we were t certain what to expect at breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised with the option of a warm sandwich or burrito with all of the standard accompaniments. Of course, the staff took turns each morning to assemble out grab and go breakfast. We liked the format and appreciated their efforts to keep the staff and the customers safe. We used the kitchen to fix multiple meals and didnt have any issues. Ashley helped us at checkout as well. Were looking forward to coming back (home) very soon.

  Quiet place with lots of amenities.

  This place is huge and sits very close to the interstate. Great location! Multiple restaurants, gas stations and lots of shopping all within a mile. This place is hidden and hard to find if you dont have your GPS set. No big signs, just a small Lobby sign by the road. If I wasnt paying attention I wouldve missed it. Clean rooms that are fully stocked of everything you will need. On site laundromat that is free. Huge area with buffet for continental breakfast. Im not sure what all is offered at this time due to Covid though. Pool area with grill was nice and clean. My stay here has been nice and quiet. Highly recommend.

  Staybridge Suites Plano/Richardson

  Although the room was very nice, my experience with the young lady at the front desk was not so pleasant. After arriving, I checked in at the front dest, ran my card for the hold for incidentals, was given my key cards, and went to my room to settle in. As I started to enter my room, the same young lady from the front desk appeared at the opposite end of the hallway and yelled out that my card which I used for incidentals didn't clear, and I needed to return to the front desk right away. I told her I would be right there, that I needed to set my things down. Not 60 seconds later the phone rang and I was told to come to the front desk immediately. When I approached the front desk I was told that my boyfriend needed to remove himself and our belongings from the room and then come back to the front desk to run my card again. After doing as she asked, I returned to the front desk and apparently took too long transferring funds from one of my accounts to another so that I could cover the hold for incidentals. She said that she was cancelling my reservation and that I could go to one of their more affordable sister hotels down the street. Needless to say, I was extremely embarrassed and left immediately. Although I liked the location and the rooms themselves were very nice, the treatment I received was embarrassing, rude, and uncalled for. I cant see any reason whatsoever for returning to this or any other IHG hotel.
