  la suite estaba muy completa, la cocina bien equipada, si viajas con niños es una buena opcion. El personal muy amable, la limpieza excelente, el desayuno sencillo y variado. Planeamos volver pronto.

  Mixed Feelings

  Overall nice hotel- pet fee is ridiculously exorbitant ($75 for one night!!) Absolutely will not stay at another Staybridge unless theres no other option. I can see why they say theyre pet friendly now.

  There for volleyball tournament

  Kitchen was nice had utensils. The door to the dishwasher would stick but that was literally only problem. Breakfast very good. Nice weight room. Pool is small but nice Clean organized well. My husband didnt like like the layout because he was in the living room and couldnt shave. But i would have kicked the teenagers out had I known he couldnt get in there and shave so. I usually handle that

  My Visit to Staybridge Suites was a Nightmare

  I am from San Antonio and I have four children (2 of which are special needs) As you can imagine, its not easy to travel but my fiancé and I decided they needed a vacation for a weekend. Weve been home since March and agreed that we would take the kids for a getaway. I made a reservation at Staybridge Suites 5201 Oakhurst Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. I booked a 2 night stay. I would be checking in on Friday and checking out on Sunday. I understand that because of COVID there are certain restrictions on things that are necessary. So in order to prepare for my stay I called the hotel on Friday at 8am and asked if the pool and beach were going to be open for the weekend and if there were rules for the beach and for the pool. I spoke to a man who assured me the pool and beach were open but with reasonable restrictions. I packed my family and left San Antonio for Corpus Christi. We arrived around 7pm at the Staybridge Suites. I checked in with Tiffany at the front desk. She informed me that the pool is closed. I couldnt believe it. I told her I had called in the morning and I was told that it was open. She said well its been closed because its green. So what she said is the pool isnt closed due to COVID its closed because its DIRTY. I was frustrated and upset. I asked to speak with a manager. She said she was the only one working until the morning. I said I needed to speak to a manager right away. She said she would call the manager on her cell phone and get back to me. Meanwhile, I got my children off the car and into the room. I received a call from Tiffany that she spoke to the assistant manager and that she would discount my room by $50 for the inconvenience of the closed pool. The assistant manager didnt even speak to me at all. You have an angry guest at your hotel and you dont even speak to the guest when they are requesting it? I was still not happy but my kids needed to be fed and get settled in to sleep so I decided to stay for the night at the discounted rate and find another hotel for my second night. I went to a nearby restaurant to pick up food for my children. When I got back with the food I noticed it was even hotter in the room. I checked the settings on the thermostat and everything looked right. I just thought maybe it needed some time to kick in. I served my kids and we ate dinner. My kids started complaining about how hot it was so I checked the thermostat again and it was even hotter. I called the front desk and spoke to Jay who said he would check the settings on the thermostat for me. He came right away and verified the settings were correct. He said he would move me to another room but that the hotel is fully booked so that wasnt an option. He said he would look for fans. I told him I couldnt believe how many problems Ive had. He said well I dont know anything about that. That was such a rude thing to say to a guest who has experienced so many inconvenient issues. So its 11pm and my children are asleep and I am crying in frustration because our vacation so far has been a total nightmare. Its now 80 degrees in my hotel room. Jay knocks on my door with two fans. I plug them in and make the decision to just cancel my vacation and go home. I called Jay at the front desk and inform him that I wasnt satisfied and just want a refund. I told him I would pack up and leave as soon as possible. He said okay. I packed everything back up and cried. Loaded up my car with our luggage. I woke up my children and carried my 3yr old severely autistic daughter to the car to travel again to get back home due to the hotels failure to provide basic needs that I was paying for. I got home at 3AM. I took down our luggage and put my children in their beds to sleep for the night. I havent even mentioned that the room despite being a nonsmoking room stunk of smoke. I couldnt even open the closet because the handle was broken and the door was stuck due to the railing being broken. I am angry about how badly Staybridge Suites ruined my familys vacation. I will be sure to share my story with everyone I know and every website where it is possible to share my experience. I hope to prevent Staybridge Suites from ruining anyone elses vacation.

  No precautions taken about COVID-19

  They place ill or infected people right next to your room and absolutely no monitoring is done of people who check-in. The person beside our room was constantly sneezing, coughing and wheezing. The front-desk/ manager did absolutely nothing to contain the situation. They only care about their regular guests as told by the night-time front- desk manager. Even if they are violently sick with 4 out of 5 symptoms of the COVID-19 they still did not take any precautions in this matter and put their other guests at risk. I would never recommend staying at this place if you care even a bit about your health and safety!!!
