  I was very surprised at the size of the rooms. The staff was fantastic and very helpful. I definitely recommend to people traveling to Allentown. I will definitely be using this property again in the future.

  Comfortable, clean, convenient

  The regular room was like a well-arranged studio apartment. The amenities were Watkins brand: hand soap and lotion, plus large dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. A nice touch was the laundry basket. I have been to other extended-stay style properties that don't have an easy way to lug your stuff to and from the laundry room. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of stuff for basic cooking. The kitchen and all the dishes were clean. There are a few places to get groceries within walking distance: Aldi and Target (plus BJ's Wholesale and Sam's Club if you have a membership.) The hotel shuttle can likely provide a ride to a Giant Food store. The shuttle driver mentioned that they can provide rides within 5 miles. The breakfast had a good variety and the area was kept clean. It was cheerful to see that there were seasonal decorations up in the lobby and breakfast areas. There are several restaurants withing walking distance. The hot tub area looked nice, but we didn't use it.

  I have stayed at this hotel several times this year. I have found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. And the location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. The entire staff is personal and great. I would like say that Kayla that works at the front desk does an exceptional job. She remembers my room preferences and is always cheerful when we arrive. One time while using the free laundry machines one of the machine broke. Kayla knew that I couldnt wait on maintenance to fix the issue. She helped me get the problem resolved. And I was able to get to work on time. Thank you.

  We went for an overnight stay because we were visiting family. Check-in went smoothly. The rooms are nice and are a decent size for the rate. The room amenities were also great. The bed was extremely comfortable. We were however unhappy with the added interactions we had to have with staff we were trying to avoid (due to COVID-19). There was no bedding in the room for the pull-out bed and we waited hours to receive the bedding (we had to get it ourselves from the front desk). There was no conditioner in the bathroom so again we had to interact with staff in order to get a new bottle of conditioner. These are things that should have been checked before allowing someone else to check in to the room. It was also unsettling to see that we were the only people, among guests and staff, wearing masks any time we walked through the hotel. Had I known it was not a requirement of the hotel I honestly would not have booked. The worst part of the experience was that night when we arrived back at the hotel we began to notice small roaches in the room. It's a shame because the hotel is actually nice but I can't say that I would ever book here again even after COVID-19 is a thing of the past because I was extremely turned off by the roaches.

  Checked in and immediately checked out

  We reserved a two room suite for 10 days. We purposely booked here as the reviews were excellent. We had hoped to save some money and cook a few meals without having to dine out or grab and go due to covid. After driving 12 hours to get to Bethlehem we arrived and were immediately hit with the strong smell of marijuana in the atrium and hallways. We continued to walk to our room to unload all of our belongings and walked into a room that, not only smelled like really bad air freshener, but had clearly not been cleaned properly, if at all. The refrigerator was missing the bracket that holds items into the door. The stove was dirty and had crumbs, along with the counter and the table. The dishes were comprised of stained plastic Tupperware. The coffee maker was missing, the floors were not vacuumed and we had zero confidence that the linens were clean. We were given a new room one floor above which, while smelled a bit fresher, still was not nearly acceptable. Dirty kitchen and a stained bed skirt made our decision to leave easy. We reloaded all of our belongings on the cart as my husband made us a new reservation at the Courtyard on Emrick. When leaving and checking out I told the manager that we just could not stay, he was very apologetic and completely understood. I mentioned that they clearly have a weed problem and he told me they were aware and were working on it. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have become a replacement apartment for many, and while we recognize that people find themselves in unfortunate circumstances, the overall feel of this Staybridge left both of us feeling anxious and unsafe.
