  Adequate but not four star

  ECO Hotel is in an excellent location. You can walk to the railway and bus stations. It is a pleasant stroll from Tianning Pagoda and Hongmei Park. Pizza Hut adjoins the business complex in which the hotel is housed. There is an RT Mart and a Kedi adjacent to the hotel. The hotel rooms are on the fourth to eigth floors of the business complex. The reception is on the first floor of the plaza and staff are extremely efficient, if not particularly friendly. The fact that this is a multi-purpose building means that the hotel feels quite functional and lacks atmosphere. Hence, it serves its purpose as a business rather than a holiday hotel. Some of the rooms have a view of the Tianning Pagoda (purportedly the tallest in the world) but our budget C-Trip room had a view of the railway construction site. The rooms are clean with evidence of wear and tear (cigarette burns on chairs, stains on the tiles). The bathrooms have been refurbished with opaque glass so popular in Chinese hotels these days. Although the bathroom fittings are high quality, the bathroom configuration does not make the best use of space. Our shower also failed to drain properly. The toilet and bathroom doors did not lock. In fact, they had locks on the OUTSIDE of the doors which would be useful if you had the keys and wanted to kidnap someone, I suppose. The beds are comfortable and not too hard. On our side of the hotel the occasional rumble of trains going past could be heard. The noise would really only disturb a very light sleeper, but the train driver who decided to blare his whistle at 6am would definitely wake most people. Other facilities available on floors below the hotel are a gym with indoor swimming pool, a beauty spa and a men's sauna club. The hotel room has a picture of a girl wearing only a towel in the advertising literature for the sauna. The breakfast which is included in the tariff is very good. Cereals and toast are available to cater for western tastes. Overall, ECO Hotel is convenient, clean and functional. It would be suitable for businessmen but offers little for the tourist except location. In fact, there are three equally functional hotels at cheaper prices in the vicinity of this hotel. There is nothing particularly bad about ECO Hotel but it is certainly over-rated and subsequently tariffs are inflated.

  Strategic Hotel

  This hotel located 200 meters with Changzhou Nanchang railway station and if you out from south gate of railway station, then you just go by walk to this hotel and no need taxi at all, only 5 minutes walk with bus station, RT Mart, KFC, and next hotel there is pizza hut, and if you stop the taxi front of the hotel was very easy. They have sauna pool hot water (onsen) and it's free but unfortunately only for man. The room is quite spacious and the price was reasonable. But their pillow is way too soft. Me and my spouse prefer the hard one to sleep. Other than that, all perfect :)
