Beautiful locationYou could not ask for a better location; right on the beach and a couple of minutes walk to the shops and restaurants of Rodney Bay. The staff are lovely, but very overworked and poorly managed. The rooms are dated and a little dark, but cleaned daily and ours had a lovely view facing out to the beach and pool. The cocktails and drinks were fine in the day, but you would be waiting a while to be served. The quality was not as good in the evening, as staff were rushed and there were lengthy queues for the bar. The food when we arrived was lukewarm at best, often stone cold, and looked sloppy. There were also some hygiene and cross contamination issues, which were raised with management, and so we did begin to see a slight improvement the second week of our stay. To be honest, they were lucky not to have made someone seriously ill. I would not book this hotel again, as the problems encountered were too much to overlook for the price TUI ask. I would love to visit St Lucia again, but would look to stay elsewhere.

Way off the markWas so looking forward to this trip and really wanted the hotel to come out glowing but unfortunately many basics fell drastically short of the mark. The staff were all lovely but overworked resulting in large queues and waits at any bar to get a drink, plus they removed the water chillers 1 week in and we had to queue just to get water. And don't try to buy premium drinks, lengthy cumbersome process to wait at reception to buy! Then queue again at the bar. Local spirits were cheap and nasty. Often struggled to get sunbeds on the beach or pool until week 2 when more were brought in. Couldn't do the free water sports as there was "no safety boat available" most of the time. Pool needs painting as the discoloured concrete didn't look good. Rooms were tired and dated however they were clean and nice big comfy beds, great maid service, no complaints. Food. Where to start? Awful. For the money we paid I feel short changed. Lack of choice, meats running out, poorly cooked, cold (for the first week the head chef admitted to oven problems and the hot plates not working) and often dangerous with raw chicken tongs being used to serve cooked food! Cheap nasty ingredients. A formal complaint was made to tui while there I will be chasing up. Lack of serving staff at food stations made it frustrating. Despite paying for a la cartes advertised the Italian didn't open and only managed to get in the orient once in 2 weeks. Wonderful location on a beautiful bay. I'd go back if the disgusting food was sorted.

Ok - thank goodness for beach and sunshineDue to poor reviews at another hotel, swapped to this one. Not exactly out of frying pan onto the fire but there were some fundamental issues. First the good points - sea view rooms were great with quick access to the beach. Rooms were also very clean. Not so good - rather long! Had to pay for drinking water (and go to reception to pay, get receipt copied then go back to the bar to get it!) I would have thought in a hot place water and being all inclusive, water would have been provided. Long queues to get any drinks. Restaurant had the feel of a canteen and, due to the design, the noise was incredible at times. Food was passable - not inspiring, limited choice and just continued the canteen feel. The tea/coffee station wasn't kept topped up and, when asked for tea bags, staff came back with one. The milk was sitting in a bucket of luke warm water, which was apparently fine. The beach grill did good food but you could sit there for 20 mins before even being approached Staff were friendly and helpful but lack of management and joined up working or distinct roles meant they were probably busier than needed to be running back and forth for single items. We were moved to a sister hotel after 2 days as they were closing due to lack of incoming guests. We were not informed by the hotel and only found out by rumour - later confirmed by our tour operator. The warm welcome of arrival was distinctly lacking on departure with no guidance as to who was going in which taxi. I appreciate they must have been disappointed at the closure but it's not our fault. Glad the stay was only 2 days.

Christmas breakWe arrived the 1st day this hotel reopened on the 22nd for 1 week, So there were a few things I don't think they had ready but by the time we left they seemed to have it all sorted. We were very disappointed the water sports wasn't sorted until the day before we left. We were very apprehensive about staying in a 3* but we were not dissapointed at all. All the people moaning I think needed to be reminded it is just 3* having said that I was surprised there was no water in the fridge in the Rooms. They did bring a kettle etc when I requested one. The door lock was a total nightmare but as soon as I rang reception it was fixed with a new one that day. My only complaint really would be we requested ground floor rooms which we never got & gave up asking by the 3rd day. We had rooms 206 & 207, To say the hotel was no way near full we were not impressed they could not accomadate this request. The bed was very comfy. The restaurant staff were fab & Mindy & Kenneth at the pool bar were amazing. We liked to eat outside at lunchtime I think between the 4 of us we had everything off the menu with no complaints. Inside my favourite meal was the Beef Brisket with garlic mash. The omelette's at breakfast were great, There was always something for everyone even a fussy 10yr old. Santa waking the children up on Christmas morning was a very special touch from the hotel & the present my son recieved (scrabble) was fab. Thankyou Nikita & Santa The beach on the hotel doorstep was wonderful & the kids swam in the sea just as much as the pool. We enjoyed how small the hotel was & everything in easy reach for a very relaxed week. Valarie was wonderful helping me choose a trip, which were limited because of covid. We all really enjoyed the sunset cruise & would highly recommend it. Yes we would visit again, hopefully when allowed freely outside the hotel when covid subsides. Thankyou for a lovely Christmas.
