  Pleasant and well located place

  We stayed there for a couple of nights at the end of December, hoping for great skiing opportunities. However the exceptionally bad snow conditions compromised our program. We were not using the hotel restaurant and we were cooking a bit in our room. The kitchen is very limited in space and just basic equipment is provided. You can forget dishwasher, but the basics is there - see photos. The bathroom has been ok, but you need to have your own shower gel and shampoo. The Wi-Fi is provided for 1 EURO per day and it is working well. The parking lot is for 6-7 cars and that might be a bit discomfort if the house is full (11 apartments). Ski storage room and heaters for ski boots are easily accessible from the parking area. For skiing - we have found that ski area Juwel was the best - as the slopes are not that much directly lit by sunshine, as the other bigger area Skiwelt, where the snow was melting faster. However in normal weather the Skiwelt offers more slopes and variety. And the best thing at the end - the staff has been very helpful and nice, so we left with the very positive overall feelings.

  Very pleasant apartment with warm and welcoming staff

  We stayed for two weeks in a small apartment with balcony. Kitchen was really only suitable for making breakfast, but that is all we wanted. A bit taken aback to have a hob-kettle rather than an electric one, but a decent coffee-maker and fridge. Great location, just by the bakery, close to the Spar, several decent restaurants nearby. The weinstueberl is a good place to have a simple meal and is much used by locals.

  Evening Drinks

  Popped in here on our last night in Oberau, and we enjoyed a few drinks in the weinstuberl. Staff and locals very friendly Drinks very reasonable Opens at 4.00pm - but beware - closed Sunday and Monday, which is very common in Austria
