  Basic, but they could still be nice

  I stayed 2 nights here knowing it would be a basic hotel. What was not basic was witnessing another guess having to go to the hospital from getting a barbed fish hook stuck in his foot (swim at your own risk, the beach is filthy), and being asked multiple times for payment for my airport taxi. When I arrived late in the evening, I was told I could take care of it when I checked out. I was then pretty much harassed about it from two different people until I agreed to pay just to be left alone. I also had to ask for a receipt which was scratched down on a piece of paper. Not sure how much experience they have in dealing with this sort of thing but it was u professional and left me feeling stressed and angry. Wouldn't stay here again.

  Cheap and Cheerful

  We stayed here the night before we flew back home. The hotel is located right on a quiet strip of the beach, near some restaurants and a number of souvenir shops. It was about a 20-minute drive to the airport (with no traffic early in the morning). The hotel is basic, but nicely decorated and the room was quite large and clean with air conditioning and a fan, no fridge though. There was a small balcony that was closed in and overlooked the hotel rooms next door. The owners were friendly people and able to assist with any questions we had. The wifi connection was pretty good. We left early in the morning so are unable to comment on the breakfast. We organised our airport transfer with a guy who lived in the alley the hotel was down, he was great, very friendly and arrived on time. He owns a pink Suzuki and only charged 1500 SR. I would recommend this hotel for a low-cost short trip to Negombo, I feel it was excellent value for money.

  Excellent value for money

  Friendly staff, proximity to the beach and nice rooms make this place stand out as excellent value for money. Whilst I stayed here, I met a guy who stayed her 30 years ago and he returned ! There's no bar, and the food a little expensive, but tasty (jumbo prawns)

  Worst Hotel provided by Srilankan Airlines while in transit

  The rooms are no way near 2 star,Only photographs are deceiving.The Food was horrible and also there were flies all over the fruit s and desserts.It was not covered at all. What do you expect for 26 dollars.The Staff did not know what they were doing.The rooms were full of mosquitoes.Thank God it was only 1 night.

  Negombo Beach Front

  Booked this place under pressure, didn't have much time to research but turns out a lovely place hotel it self right in front of the lovely amazing beach. And room was small but nice. I had a balcony which faces the beach which was awesome and the staff was amazing. Didn't have time to try their food though.
