  The Inn is Dream!

  The Stanford Inn is an absolute dream! I can't say enough positives about this charming inn. Everyone we encountered, from making our reservation to coordinating events to getting local advice, was incredibly caring and kind. The property is lovely. We enjoyed strolling through the organic garden and wandering down to the river. The Inn has such a positive feel to it, full of good energy. I love that they promote wellness in so many forms, from nourishing food to time in nature. Their amenities are fantastic! They offer a saltwater pool, use of their high quality mountain bikes and have canoe rentals as well. In a non-Covid times, they also have yoga classes, massages in the forrest, creative art workshops and nutrition classes. The rooms are so cozy and inviting, too. What a treat to have a fireplace to snuggle up to each night! They are doing a phenomenal job keeping everything clean and safe in these current times as well. I feel like the Inn is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation that leaves you recharged. Mendocino is stunningly beautiful and the town is as charming as it gets. We eloped during our visit to Mendocino and we can't wait to return to this wonderful place :-)

  Beautiful property, highly recommend

  This is an incredible place, I would highly recommend. The rooms are sparkling clean and have a rustic, cozy vibe. The property is beautiful, with Adirondack chairs in the garden, and direct access to the beautiful river. They are also INCREDIBLY dog friendly, the absolute best place to bring your dog. They had blankets and towels just for our dog, and had cute dog treats and a care pack which our dog loved. One thing to note, which I somehow missed whilst researching- it is a vegan hotel, so all of the food is vegetarian or vegan. Not a big deal, but as someone who loves eggs in the AM, you wont find that here. One other negative during covid, if youre staying for a short stay, it is hard to snag a pool reservation, and the breakfast delivery time was about 9:30am by the time we were able to pick a time. Again, not a huge deal, but something to consider during covid. Great property all around, you will not regret a stay!

  Long Weekend Getaway

  We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the fabulous vegan meals from Raven restaurant, and our beautiful and comfortable room with breathtaking view. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were added treats. Loved strolling through the onsite raised bed organic gardens. Can't wait to return.

  Cozy, gorgeous inn, amazing customer service

  My husband and I came for a week in December for a mini honey moon after we got married. We had such an amazing time! First off, the staff does a great job with covid-19 caution. We felt really safe. All the rooms are accessed from the outside. They deliver your breakfast and any other room service outside your door contact-free. The inn is so cozy, romantic, comfortable and beautiful. The fireplaces are dreamy if there is afternoon rain or in the evening after an active day of hiking or biking. The food is amazing- especially the breakfasts!!!! All the staff was really nice and made us feel extra special for being there for our honey moon. I can't wait to go back to the Stanford Inn!!!!!

  Perfect Valentines Day Weekend Break

  The Stanford Inn is our home away from home; we've been here before and we plan to return. Our last visit in February was for the Valentines Day weekend. If we could sum it up in a few words it would be this: we wish we could have stayed a full week! The room was immaculate and cozy (we lit up the fireplace each night), the vegan food served to the room (breakfast, lunch if desired, and dinner) was the best, and the staff (though there's less interaction b/c of Covid) were warm, friendly and helpful. As an example of the exceptional care with which the Inn treat their guests, when there was a minor glitch, and one meal arrived a little late, the Inn refunded the full cost of meal - and that was a scrumptious dinner. You know, whenever we travel I bring my bike along for local backroad rides. While riding and taking in the beautiful Mendocino coastal views and fresh air, I look forward to returning back to the Inn - it's that kind of place!
