  Awesome comfy guesthouse with a very personal touch

  Great location in the quaint village of Stampriet with all amenities. Hosts provide that personal touch and enjoy mingling with their guests. Rooms are comfortable and rustic with own character. Breakfast includes delicious freshly baked bread. Afternoon Coffee / teatime offers a variety of (unexpected) home baked cake. Sumptuous dinner is freshly prepared every evening.

  First class experience

  At the start of a three week self drive holiday in Namibia and Botswana, we stayed for one night in the Historical Guest House at Stampriet. It is a beautiful establishment with first class management. Sitting watching the setting sun prior to dinner was memorable and the food was first class. The gardens and swimming pool provide a very relaxing atmosphere to chill out after a long drive. Definitely recommend this establishment.

  'Charming guesthouse with history and a wonderful ambience'

  A beautiful, huge Flame tree, covered in red flowers, a lovely lush green garden, classy rooms decorated with antique furniture with little outside verandas and a wonderful big thatched lapa for relaxing after a dusty drive from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park....gravel road all the way!! We had stopped for a coffee at Stampriet Historical Guesthouse a year ago when we were passing by and immediately fell in love with the ambience and beauty of the place: the historical photos on the walls and the table in the main building full of 'old' brica brac, the lovely dining room; the welcoming big thatched lapa; the shaded garden and the pool; the fact that in the middle of nowhere we had come across this little oasis of peace and beauty and history. So we made a point of staying here this time around, together with another couple here on holiday with us. We all loved our stay; for all the above reasons plus the good food and breakfast and the very good service. Difficult not to mention Sophie who was caring and helpful, like a mother to us all. The pool was also very welcoming and relaxing after our drive. This will definitely be our home in the area for all our future trips and we definitely recommend it as a clean and lovely guesthouse.

  Excellent stay.

  Very good located guesthouse with very familiar hosts. Special thanks to Sophie! She was very kindly and always approachable. Of course, this also applies to the hosts, too. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  Nice stay

  Stayed at Stampriet Historical Guesthouse with a group of 7 people. Good, clean rooms, friendly staff and good food. What more could you want? Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Namibia.
