  Excellent Fish & Chips

  Visited during a weekday lunchtime. We both ordered large fish, chips & mushy peas. They were extremely fresh & tasty and was most definitely a large portion of fish! Service was good in the restaurant too. Highly recommended.

  Needs a refurb

  Stayed here for work reasons in July, luckily it was just for one night. The room was very dated, very basic, and in need of some TLC to be honest. I stayed in Room 1, to the rear of the reception area. Entering the room was like visiting your nans house in the 80s, apart from the ceiling that is, that was more like being in a car salesmans office, what with the cheap grid and tile style. Opened the window to let some fresh air in, only to get wafts of second hand smoke from the smoking hut located approximately 7 metres away. Couldnt watch tv in the room due to the remote control being misplaced, and there was no spare. Had a bath to kill time, the water was hot and fast flowing, bonus. Unfortunately as you lay there, you notice how manky the shower was, and the stained ceiling tile from something leaking above, only a matter of time before it falls down. Oh, and the room lights up as soon as its sunrise. Black out blinds are easy to put up! On a positive note, the staff are pleasant, and the food is good. Wouldnt say that the place is worth the good money that the company I work for, pay to put our employees up for the night. See photos.

  Evening meal

  Thought I would support a local pub / hotel through the Covid pandemic and also make use of the Eat out to Help out. A few places I have tried have put out a limited menu and the food has been what I would describe as distinctly average It was a pleasant surprise when we tried the Stallinborough Grange. A full menu, great service and the food was really good. We enjoyed it so much we have been back several times and each time it was really enjoyable. Their Covid measures / controls are adequate & sensible and for me it never spoiled the evening. Well done Stallingborough Grange

  Extra Special Wedding Stay and Meal

  We had a wonderful wedding meal and stay here in October 2020 with close friends and family. Harriet, Phillip, Zach, Matt and the team were absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond to make our day very special, despite the difficult circumstances. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was scrumptious! Many thanks!

  Good food, good service.

  We decided to eat out last minute and had no problem getting in. We shared a rustic bread board starter, vegetarian burger, and the lamb ragout, all were good size portions, well presented, and tasted lovely. The service was excellent, not over attentive, but there when needed. All in all a lovely relaxing and enjoyable experience, good value for money, and good service.
