Our room was definitely not 4 star.

As part of a large group booking that had virtually taken over the hotel we were looking forward to our stay at this 4* hotel. But we should have known that things were not going to go well for us when we got to our room to find that the cleaning hadn't been finished, there were no towels, the table lamp had been knocked on to the floor and the bathroom floor was still wet due to the faulty seal on the shower enclosure. Unfortunately, our room was on the second (top) floor and it seems the higher you are the hotter the room so it was difficult to sleep at night despite the use of a desk fan and an open door to the very small balcony. The heat in the room wasn't helped by the fact that the fridge was on its last legs and items came out hotter than when they went in! I am pleased to say they did replace this with a new one. The maid service was very hit and miss probably due to the fact that they had too many rooms to look after. We invariably had to ask for something that should have been provided ranging from towels and flannels to bottled water. So before you think I have nothing positive to say about the hotel let me mention the good points: The location is very convenient for the bus route and Waitrose. The breakfasts are excellent with a great choice of hot and cold dishes. The hotel grounds are very attractive and well landscaped. The pool, health club, spa and Jacuzzi were very popular with our grandchildren. The concierge, chief housekeeper, the female receptionists and the restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. Complimentary wi-fi was very useful. So, would we go back again? Possibly, but if we did we would want to make sure we had a different room, preferably with air conditioning and / or on the ground floor.

    Family Wedding

Just back from a staycation at St Pierre Park Hotel for our daughters wedding. Thank you to all the staff who worked tirelessly under difficult circumstances to make their day so special. Nothing was too much trouble and every little detail taken care of. The day was completely magical. Thank you all, you were amazing.

    Spa Treatment with Emily

I had a skin specific facial done by Emily today which has left me feeling so revitalised, refreshed and relaxed. My skin is so radiant and Emily also focused on my scarring to help reduce the intensity of my scars which has done wonders!! Emily really helped me understand my skin and also put me in the right direction for skin products which I purchased. Elemis products are my favourite!! Very friendly, professional, relaxing and great value for money. Ill be back next month for another facial with Emily! Thank you!

    Another super stay

Another couple of nights here, partly for a meeting but mainly for some other appointments and a little shopping. I had my "usual" room - a deluxe double on the ground floor with a lovely walk-in shower. One or two minor "hiccups" with simple housekeeping matters (this is incredibly commonplace now, it seems to me?) Nonetheless, the bed had been made up with sheets and blankets as per my preferences. As before, the weather was not good enought to sit on my balcony (it was November!) but the room overlooked the tennis courts and was wonderfully quiet. The in-room air conditioning was fantastic. Breakfasts both days in the Terrace Bar were fantastic - an "off menu" item being gladly cooked and served. The attention from the staff (particularly Ana - hope the spelling is correct?) All the staff on reception were fantastic. Gemma was her usual wonderful self (!) and Florin was most helpful (as always) even doing an "emergency repair" on my coat zip just as I was about to leave. Once again, a resounding "thank you" to the team.

    Lovely staff, awful food

Stayed the night with friends for a treat, flying over from Alderney as permitted in our almost COVID free Bailiwick. Receptionist as with all staff was lovely, friendly and cheerful. Rooms were ok though our friends said theirs was chilly. Sadly however dinner was awful. As we had booked a not inexpensive Dinner Bed and Breakfast package, we mostly ate off the set Asian menu. Starters were very stodgy dumplings swimming in a sea of soy sauce. Our vegetarian friends Leek and Potato soup turned out to be watery tomato soup. Mains were Duck with Pak Choi and Sweet Potatoes. Duck was largely inedible and we all left much of it, our veggie friend had Macaroni Cheese which was almost solid. Puds off the a la carte were passable. In fairness the Manager arrived, made copious notes and offered us replacement food, but by that time we were past it. A small reduction was made in our bill next day. Not what we were expecting at a premier hotel, or had experienced there in the past. If they cant do food properly, and the restaurant was almost empty, we would have booked elsewhere or gone into Town to eat. Disappointing.
