No sleep, no service!!!When I booked the room, I was not advised of an additional parking fee NOR were we advised that the room was directly above a loud bar. We had booked this room for a quiet escape, and truthfully should have probably been more concerned when we checked in and saw earplugs on our bedside tables!!! We understand that it is more of a profit for their organization to have a live band in a bar on a Saturday night than to rent out one room, but potential customers SHOULD be advised upon booking, we would NOT have booked this room if we had known that we would be listening to an in house band (we could actually make out all of the vocals, it is that loud and clear) until 2 am!!!! The drunken fight at 2:30 am directly outside our room, caused by inebriated customers leaving the pub, was a frightening experience as again, we could hear EVERY word. Finally, when the fight was broken up and all settled - and we thought we could get some sleep - the restaurant/pub staff started their clean up, dragging chairs and tables across the floors. Again, we heard everything - and the provided earplugs were not even close to adequate. The slatted blinds (and decorative curtain panels- of which 2 were missing) did not help to block out light or noise either. Finally, we parked in the parking garage across the street which was apparently free on Saturday and Sunday. We did not, at anytime, have to ask for the use of a parking card. Imagine, then, my surprise to see that I have been charged $10.00 to park!!! If I would have had to pay to exit, I can see the reason for the charge - but as it stands, we were charged to park in a lot that was free on the weekend! Even if we had used the parking pass, I would think that given the fact that they subject their weekend guests to loud bar music, not charging them for parking would be ONE potential accommodation! The room was tastefully decorated and clean, it would have been a lovely escape and there is potential for a very nice boutique hotel worth $200 a night. HOWEVER, to not advise customers at the time fo booking of the very loud bar beneath it, to cheap out by not including noise/light reducing curtains, to charge for free parking and also provide a very minimal breakfast (individually wrapped Otis Spunkmeyer/gas station muffins when they have an attached onsite full kitchen facility?!!) - this room/experience was NOT worth a boutique hotel price. I wrote to the hotel management to express my concerns before posting this review and they have not responded. I have since read other reviews online with the same complaint about the noise, etc. Obviously, the comfort of their hotel guests is not a concern over the money they make running a bar until 2 AM. STAY AWAY!

All Around Terrible ExperienceMy girlfriend and I went to Moncton for the day/night. We had a relaxing weekend planned went to a spa for the day. After our day out we headed back to the hotel to get changed, the room was clean, spacious and moder, and the bed was very comfortable. Later that evening we went downstairs for supper and got a few appetizers to share, all were very delicious. The service was on point and our server provided some great drink and food suggestions. We left the restaurant at around 10pm and went up stairs to the room to relax. We went upstairs there was live music in the conference room which shared a wall with our room. The music was quite loud in the room which was fine it was only early. Out of curiosity my girlfriend went out to the desk to ask when the music went until and the girl told her 11pm. That was great we had no intentions to go to sleep right away anyways. Come 11pm the music stopped and not long after the band downstairs started it, songs could be heard very clearly in our room. I got out to go out to the front desk, no one was there but there was a sign saying call down to the bartender for assistance. I called down but no answer of course. So I went back in and we tried to sleep but it was impossible between the band and people shouting outside. 2am comes around the band stops everyone starts to leave things are quiet and we finally fall asleep. 5am comes around and we are awoken by loud bangs. The cleaning crew came in downstairs and were dragging tables and chair around cleaning the floor. Safe to say we didnt get much sleep that night. It was not our usual weekend away because usually we would be out drinking until 2am and would have came back and passed out, in which case it wouldnt have been as big of a deal. Its a shame such a beautiful boutique hotel is so loud. Lesson learned a hotel above a bar is probably not the best place to spend a relaxing weekend.

Not what was booked...and other issuesWe booked a Junior Suite with a King Bed and we were given a regular room with a queen bed. When I asked for a price adjustment the next day, I was given one but they certainly should have informed me when I checked in -- which they did not. In addition, the room had no outside-facing window. The only window faced into the building. Seriously claustrophobic. Also, as others have noted, the band played in the bar until 1 AM and the bass pounded our room even though it was on the 3rd floor and I was assured that we wouldn't hear it. Moncton didn't have much to recommend it and this place didn't help matters.

Fundraiser Gala NightThe facility is very elegant and modern. The staff are very efficient and friendly. I have been to a few events and had my own wedding there and every experience has been above and beyond. The hotel rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The food is delicious and several guests at my wedding said it was the best chicken they ever had! Erika, the event coordinator, is very friendly and professional who paid great attention to detail which made planning our wedding easy and fun. The only con is the top floor of hotel is only accessible by stairs limiting anyone with difficulty with mobility. The main floor rooms do have elevator access however. Over all my lasting impression is a great space to host an event and very comfortable rooms with unforgettable food!

Nice try but .........Really comfortable, modern, up-to-date rooms with nice amenities, linens, and bathrooms. Unfortunately, noise is a major major distraction as it sits right above a popular restaurant and bar with entertainment. Oh, and if they recommend a room on the third floor to avoid noise, please be alert to the fact that it is only accessible via stairs! We mustve missed the information on the absence of psrking too but that was somewhat secondary to the noise Particularly at 3:30 in the morning with someones electronic keys or otherwise not working and screaming for help. With no one on site and no one answering the after hours phone have no idea what they did but we did find beer cans and ladies shoes on the counter in the morning. When asked why no one answered the phone, the very friendly desk guy later indicated that the phone goes to the owner but the owner was out of the country on vacation! Good planning. All in all a disappointing experience with n what couldve been a really cool place to stay.
