  Maravillosas vistas, desastroso servicio

  La ubicacion del hotel es inmejorable y las vistas son lo mejor Mi sorpresa fue cuando llegamos a registrarnos y nos dicen que no habia reserva a nuestro nombre, les di la confirmacion de reserva que recibi por email impreso para que lo vieran.........Evidentemente tuvieron que solucionar el desaguisado y nos alojaron en unos apartamentos de lujo que estan a la venta anexos al hotel. Eso fue lo mejor, estuvimos en una propiedad con 2 habitaciones, 2 banos, cocina, salon, un lujo total......esto compenso con creces el desastre inicial...........el pero mas grande fue el desayuno, nos hicieron esperar una hora para servirnos el desayuno ingles que nunca llego, ya que no habia coordinacion entre el servicio y nos fuimos......una pena, pero esto debe solucionarse, es totalmente inaceptable. El desayuno buffet como alternativa, fue otro desastre, no fueron capaces de poner mas pan, cereales, zumo.....que caos!! Otro detalle positivo es el Spa, es realmente bueno, terraza con magnificas vistas al mar

  3 night Xmas Break

  Thank you all, for making our Christmas stay so good. From the minute we arrived to when we left, the staff were, helpful, friendly, polite and efficient. The room 106, was very clean, well equipped, with complimentary gin, tonic and sherry, Christmas card, bottle of wine and locally crafted chocolate. Rooms were cleaned each day, replenishing the bottled water. The food was excellent, lot's of choice, including vegetarian. Entertainment each evening, which was also good. 10/10 to you all, to achieve such a good standard, in light of the present Covid restrictions. Just one very minor complaint, breakfast was served on cold plates, so did not stay hot for very long. We would like to wish the team a very Happy New Year and hope 2021 brings a more secure future for all. Thank you. Di and Steve

  Exceptional from start to finish!!

  Where do I begin!!! We love the harbour hotels and this was our first trip to the St Ives Hotel and it was wow from start to finish! The valet parking was very helpful and efficient, the staff are wonderful, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to the most incredible deluxe sea view suite on the top floor and we were blown away!! Absolutely stunning room, incredible views and all the little luxuries to make the stay extra special, we even had a bottle of Prosecco on ice waiting for us! The spa was fantastic, beautiful, relaxing and very covid safe only a handful of people allowed in at one time. We went before dinner and felt so calm and relaxed we cant wait to go back. Now the dinner...we are massive foodies and I can honestly say we had one of the best most memorable meals we have ever had! Beautifully decorated restaurant and bar, incredible service, and the food blew us away! We couldnt fault it! We had the garlic king prawns with samphire for starters and the amazing rib eye steak was cooked to perfection! Juicy, seasoned beautifully and served with the best chips we have ever had! Pudding was a chocolate delice, we shared it and I wish we ordered one each as we didnt want it to end! All washed down with excellent cocktails and delicious wine. We honestly cannot wait to return and will do so very soon! It is our favourite hotel we have stayed in and cannot thank the staff enough for the most perfect one night break, it felt like pure indulgence and it is a credit to the harbour hotel chain.   Bit disappointing

  Service was lacking - I checked twice, once before arrival & then on arrival that the room had a bath & all amenities. Awful weather, very weary, up 3 floors & key didnt fit. When staff member finally found correct key - no bath, no bottled water, no drinks. After long wait another room found - OK but not upgrade! Car was parked for us across the road but we werent told it was on first floor & struggled with luggage down dingy, grotty, concrete stairs. After an outing we couldnt pull up outside parking area as told & were left by staff member on busy road in very dangerous circumstances. Catering staff & restaurant very good but food insipid. Disappointed in this hotel as Harbour hotel in Padstow much better for food, service etc.

  Beautiful views but unwelcoming

  My husband and I had stayed at the sister hotel, Fowey Harbour Hotel and had a wonderful stay. Although St Ives Hotel has the same nice rooms and interiors, and also has beautiful views of the sea, we wouldnt go back. Many staff werent welcoming, and many provided poor customer service. The hotel doesnt feel restful, as guests and staff constantly pass the bedrooms on route to the spa and rooms, and there is no sense of space.
