    Very good food and service

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights. My bedroom was very spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a good variety of food - fresh fruits, cereals, bread, eggs (scrambled, boiled and sunny side up) and cured meat. It was the first time I saw a juice extractor in a hotel restaurant in which guests can make their own fresh apple/ carrot/ celery juice! The dinner was excellent. I like the salad bar. The staff are all nice and friendly. The swimming pool is good. It is not far from the village centre (10 min walk) and in close proximity to the bus stops for the train station or for Hintertux. In addition, there are a few hiking trails - 5 minutes away (on foot) from the hotel.

    Normal

Buen hotel, amplias habitaciones. Trato famailiar amable y cercano. Desayuno surtido de calidad, cenas de carta con buena presentación, pero no admiten agua del grifo. Situación algo alejada del telesferico. Recomendable.

Very nice and coasy hotel. Nice rooms. Good food and hospitable staff. Good matres, could be a bit harder. Nice small pool and outdoor jakuzy. It would be nice if there would be a a cattle or a coffee machine in the room. Probably will be back.

    Wonderful Trip

This was our first trip to Mayrhofen so Im not sure how this hotel compares to others in the area. We thought it was lovely. This is a family owned and operated hotel and it shows. We were greeted upon arrival and checked in quickly. The hotel is a very short walk to the main shopping/restaurant area. The staff were friendly, rooms clean, meals excellent! The spa area was really an added bonus - dry sauna, steam sauna, pool with beautiful view of mountains and an outdoor hot tub We check out tomorrow and have truly enjoyed our stay. Two ideas to make this hotel perfect (in our opinion) 1. Water served with meals free of charge 2. Small fridge in room to keep our store purchased snacks/beverages cold. We would recommend this hotel to friends

A question I always ask - would we / I return ? Answer, to the hotel - No, to Mayrhofen - definately Yes

This review is based upon a visit in the winter skiing season. Summer season experiences may vary. PROS (no particular order) Good size rooms Ample, even generous power sockets. Excellent shower, fast and temperature stable. 3 min walk from ski bus stop, 10 mins walk to penkenbahn (with ski boots on). Good breakfast & eve meal salad buffets, although the selections didnt change. Good ski room with boot warming, and with hanging ski/board racks (bring own locks). Far enough from town centre to be away from most of the drunk / drug issues that Mayrhofen needs to address. View at rear towards Finkenberg is beautiful. Shower gel provided. WiFi is good throughout, except patchy in restaurant. Note, WiFi appears to have a restriction on download capacity per day. CONS (no particular order) Old dated decor. Dis-used bed left in corridor all week (not becoming of a 4 * hotel). Room servicing occasionally missed, otherwise very clean. Hotel manager, when confronted with issues, would not take ownership. Staff not entirely friendly. No real bar area / lack of atmosphere away from the restaurant. Restaurant staff not highly trained and sometimes appear clueless. Tap water isnt an option in the restaurant. Water must be bought ! OTHER Bus 'E' will get you from the Spar (3 mins walk) and stop at both Penken & Ahorn Bahn lift stations. They run at least every 15 mins except at lunch time. Eve BBQ is actually a meat fondue per table. A question I always ask - would we / I return ? Answer, to the hotel - No, to Mayrhofen - definately Yes. We have stayed in many Mayrhofen hotels, and this fails shy of some of its competition !! If you have found my review informative, please mark it as useful. Thank you.
