  5 year anniversary weekend getaway

  Very nice old Victorian home with lots of charm and nostalgia! The rooms were quaint but clean and bright. Arlene made this bed and breakfast a wonderful experience and is very knowledgeable about the history of Colorado Springs and turn of the century and modern day architecture. We engaged in wonderful conversation over an exceptional breakfast she prepared for the 3 couples staying there at the time. I would highly recommend Spurs and Lace B&B to anyone looking for something more than just a hotel room and a meager breakfast. For about the same price this is by far the superior choice! Look forward to making this a regular retreat!

  Get away

  Great place to stay, food excellent! Arlene great with her stories & music. Lovely place to stay. Met people visiting from different areas of the states & Canada Lots of close places to eat & shop, all in walking distance

  Great Hostess. Arlene is an outstanding inn keeper

  No problem finding the house, we stayed in the Mountain Room. Very comfortable chairs and good reception on the WIFI. No TV in the room, but if you bring your PC and can get access to Youtube, you can still get all the news, music, and movies that are probably better than you would get on TV. Every thing went fine until I unpacked and found that I had packed an empty pill box. I need to take my heart medication morning and night. Arlene's understanding greatly relieved my anxiety. I did have to cut my trip short and drive back to Broomfield late at night on rainy roads. Got home safely. Hope to stay there again when I have an opportunity. Good location, not far from Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, etc. Thanks again Arlene

  Great Place to Stay

  Had a really wonderful stay at the Spur & Lace, a period house with great history and a delightful host, Arlene. A really friendly lady, Arlene has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the house and also the surrounding area and its certainly worth lending an ear to hear what she has to say. Our room was roomy and comfy, if I was asked I would direct any and all to stay with Arlene. Should you visit you will also discover that you are central to many of the historical sites and attractions that Colorado Springs has to offer, we would go back in a second if the opportunity arose.

  Amazing get away!

  Arlene is an excellent host. She makes sure you're very comfortable, up to date with the area and all food allergies are addressed. The house in very comfortable and cozy. An overall amazing time in Manitou Springs/Old Colorado City!
