  Dirty rooms - Will not recommend

  Waited for almost two hours for a lockbox code for a key to the room we booked. No one working they are all remote. Finally a call back and the room was dirty. Moldy shower head with a black moldy towel wrapped around it and dead bugs all along the floor next to AC unit. Floors not clean. Complained to manager and about an hour later got another room only to have this one dirty too. Coffee maker was dirty and unusable, flies in the room flying around, and dead bugs on the floor in this room too. Our feet were black when we took showers because the floor was so dirty. Would not recommend. Its a shame too because the place is adorable. Just not clean. Manager stopped calling after the second room complaint.

  Love, love, love! Repeat visit

  I stayed here last year for 10 nights in the fall of 2019, and loved it so much I returned this fall for another 10 night stay. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. If I needed anything, they took note and by the time I was back to my room it was taken care of. The rooms are spacious and cozy. I chose the same room as I had last year. From one window I was able to see hot air balloons taking off at sunrise, and from another, I could see small recreation planes flying off into the sunset. I have even captured a few buggy in the sunset on the road in the distance. There is a small airport behind the cottages that is wonderful to watch. They stop flying at a decent hour so it is not a disturbance, but more entertaining to watch. I have spoken so highly about my accommodations to friends that they too want to stay here next year. I look forward to my return again next year.

  Peaceful!

  We visited our second & third time in September & October - three nights each visit. We like the separation the cottages provide. As well, we enjoy the larger rooms with cathedral ceilings and bath tubs. The rooms are predictably plain (Amish influence I believe) but properly appointed including a refrigerator and microwave. It feels like staying at a motor home back in the 50s very quiet, private, set back, and substantially more peaceful than chain motels in the area. They have no free breakfast, but you can walk to T. Burts, Sheetz, and Capriccos for food. For daytime enjoyment, behind the motel, you can watch the airplanes or skydivers take-off and land. Although the motel is near the airport, noise is not a factor in the evenings or overnight.

  Lanchaster visit

  From the cottages is easy to get to the attractions of Lancaster. The place is far enough away for some peace and quiet. The rooms are big. There is a microwave and a small refrigerator. We have stayed here a couple of times and never had a problem. With the COVID, when you get there you call and get a code to open a lock box attached to a bench outside the office. The lock box has the key to the cottage. The rooms have a small table.

  Great Stay

  Me and my wife stayed for a getaway weekend at one of the cottages. We had a great time. The cottages are in a great location close to alot of different things in Lancaster. The young lady working the office was very nice the day we checked in and was very helpful. We like these better than a hotel or motel because they mind you of a little cabin. You will have neighbours but that didn't bother us. The cottage seemed to be pretty sound proof. The walls looked to be freshly painted not so long ago and we loved the bright colors. The cottage was clean but the only complaint was it could use a good cleaning near the baseboard next to the carpet throughout the cottage. We will return in the future and recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for a great stay!!!
