  Nice rooms

  Stayed here after 14 hours of driving during the COVID nightmare. Rooms were nice and big. They actually had breakfast available yet we left very early in the am. Staff was great. Pricepoint for this type of hotel was a little high yet we were just glad to have a nice room to sleep in after such a long drive. Had to move daughter out of college suddenly and were on the road for like 30 hours. Recommend this place if you get a good price.

  Place to put my head

  This place is average. I guess due to the amenities the price was over $100. I didnt need a pool, gym, business office or WiFi, but they were all available, wish there was an option to buy the amenities al a carte and get the room for $50. The room was small but adequate. Not dirty but didnt WOW me at all. Very average. The shower pressure was good. Toiletries are super small bottles like the size of your forefinger. Also some odd smells in lobby, on our floor and in room. Room Temp was 61 and freezing inside.There werent very many options here as far as hotels.

  Very nice !

  Room was great ! The weather was super hot but the room was nice and cool when we arrived ! Through the app I requested extra pillows and shampoo which were delivered and in the room ...nice :) Bed was comfy which was a definite plus !

  Doesn't enforce Cover 19 safety measures

  I don't usually leave very poor reviews but my experience yesterday upon check out at this hotel left me no choice. First, when I made the reservation, I inquired if the hotel was providing 24 hours between guests during the Covid 19 health emergency. Our hotel earlier in the week in Indianapolis had provided this. I was told that they did by the reservations agent when calling. When I arrived at 11:45pm, the front desk staff member told me that they could not offer a 24 hour vacancy as the hotel had been sold out the previous night. I was slightly disappointed but it was late and night and he stated that the room had been cleaned at least 8 hours earlier and no one inside since. However, the following morning when I went for breakfast at 6:45am, every guest ( at least 15 people) in the lobby and on the elevator was not wearing a mask, including an employee preparing the take-away breakfasts. I asked the same front desk employee from the previous night (the only person wearing a mask in the entire lobby) if there was a requirement for everyone to wear a mask, as I had been earlier told this was the case for all Marriott properties. He replied, Yes, unless someone has a breathing problem type health issue." Clearly everyone in the lobby did not have breaking problems, there were entire families with children. I would NEVER stay at the property again for this reason. I will add that the room was ok, nothing special, but certainly worth the price.

  Disappointed - not enforcing COVID rules

  We stay in this hotel every time we pass through Wheeling and we generally enjoy our stay. Its convenient, comfortable, reasonably clean, etc. However, on this trip, my husband and I were both very disappointed that there was NO enforcement of face covering requirements. Staff I saw were mostly compliant, but definitely not 100%. Every single other guest I encountered was not wearing a mask while walking through the lobby, corridors or elevator, and no effort was made by front desk staff to address that. I understand that they must be tired of reminding people, and that no one likes these requirements, but to not even ask people to comply is negligent. I am not leaving this review lightly, and I reported my concern directly to the front desk rep upon departure. However, I think that future guests deserve to know that this hotel is not doing its part to help us get through the pandemic. We will wait until COVID is under control before staying here again. We stayed in several other Marriott hotels recently, and all were enforcing requirements, so we know it can be done properly. Had I bothered to check previous reviews expressing the same concern, I would have stayed elsewhere. Sorry, Springhill Suites - you get an F from me.
