    Disappointed

    We were traveling to take my Mother to my brothers home so he could finally get her home after 8 months in Texas thanks to Covid. We specifically chose this hotel during this time as the website stated they installed hand sanitizers and other cleaning items and were using special cleaning due to Covid. When we arrived the desk clerk was not even wearing a mask. No hand sanitizer anywhere. The housekeepers has nothing on their carts. I hate being misled or lied too. Makes me rethink staying at any Marriott hotel.

    Clean rooms, welcoming staff, convenient location

    Staff was very welcoming. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable, lots of plugs and charging areas. Bathroom - large counter area, bright lighting, barn door with frosted glass, looked nice, but light was too bright in the bed area when others were sleeping, large walk in shower, water pressure was very low. Convenient location, walking distance to restaurants or short driving distance to shopping and several restaurants.

    Home Away From Home

    We LOVE this hotel! Let me tell you why: 1) Due to family emergency, we have recently spent a total of several weeks in this hotel. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE has been masked. Every time. This is very important to me because I am older and have a weak immunity. The employees are super courteous and accommodating (see below), and our room, the lobby, and hallways etc. are kept scrupulously clean. 2) Let me just say- the queen double beds in the downstairs rooms are like clouds, and I sleep like a baby there. 3) This happened yesterday: A big snow came, and we got stuck on an icy freeway entrance ramp not far from the hotel. We managed to get one car unstuck and got back to the hotel. When we got there, an employee was shoveling snow from the front walkway. I told him what had happened and casually asked if I might borrow a shovel long enough to get the other car unstuck. He said Of course and also brought me an extra metal one, no questions asked. I went back in and said thanks to the lady who was working at the front desk to which she said warmly, We like to treat our guests like family. Of course, we returned the shovels after we got unstuck! This experience might not be typical, but the extra level of kindness was so appreciated! We will definitely stay at Springhill Suites again!

    Back to Back visits - 2 different experiences

    We stayed at Springhill Suites Tulsa Hills two Saturday nights in a row (in town for a volleyball tournament). We used points both times (Silver Elite member). No problems whatsoever during our Jan 9th stay, but had several issues with our Jan 16th stay. When I booked this reservation on the Bonvoy app, I was given the reward rate of 9,000 points for the night. Upon receiving my invoice at checkout, I noticed that I was charged 12,500 points. In addition to the points discrepancy, I was not given the room type or location I requested. I checked in on the app the morning of Jan. 16 and quickly received a notification that my room was ready. Upon arriving at the hotel around 2pm to a VERY long line of guests waiting at the front desk, Chuck told me no rooms were ready/available b/c the hotel was full. I pressed him further and explained I had already checked in via the app and received a notification that indeed, my room was ready. I finally convinced him to actually look up my account and he told me the only room available was a handicapped room. I agreed to take it since my daughter and I were in a rush, but the handicap tub/shower was very difficult to deal with and we also had problems with the toilet and had to call the front desk that night. That was another long ordeal as there was only one employee working (even though the hotel was fully booked). I believe the employee's name was Carlos - he was very nice and helpful and I knew he was doing the best he could being the only person manning the front desk. It was an unpleasant stay overall. The hotel itself is very nice/clean, so for that reason I'm giving it an average rating. Upon checkout, I asked Chuck about the points discrepancy and he told me he or I would have to call Marriott customer service. At that point, I decided to just leave as I didn't want to hold up the guests waiting in line behind me. I will be contacting Marriott customer service to at least get 3,500 points put back in my account.

    I really enjoyed my stay

    The hotel is new and near a variety of places to eat and a Target. The neighborhood is quiet and slightly tucked away from a busy shopping area. This makes it a convenient compromise for those who may want a quieter hotel and those in your party who want to be near shopping/restaurants. The hotel staff was kind and the breakfast was mindful of social distancing. I highly recommend this hotel. I randomly selected it and I would definitely go back.
