  Decent hotel, small town area

  I stayed here for four nights on business. There aren't many choices for hotels in Statesboro and since I prefer Marriott properties, I chose this one. The hotel was decent, not poor but not quite average either. The hotel felt dated. It was an OK stay, but not quite average for a Springhill. I am not sure if I would stay here again. I am traveling to Statesboro again soon and am trying another hotel. I will review that property as well.

  Great all the way around

  Beginning with the staff this hotel is all you could ask for! The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was typical hotel but hot and well presented. I have five other colleagues staying there and all felt the same way. I would definitely stay again.

  Nice Springhill Suites

  Went to Statesboro to visit some friends and decided to spend the night here. Pretty typical Springhill, clean rooms, great staff, easy to get to, the location was great for me. Unfortunately breakfast is not what it used to be so plan on eating somewhere else.

  Meh not impressed

  My wife booked this room for me. Had to take my daughter down there for a soccer tournament. I prefer Hilton brand to be honest. Most of the rest of the team stayed at a Hilton brand hotel where they enjoyed a nice hot breakfast. Not at the Springhill Suites. Got the standard "Covid" copout by the GM there about why there is no hot breakfast just grab n go. So apparently some hotels are ok with working around the COVID issue and still offer their guest some kind of hot breakfast that they serve to them and others like the GM of this Marriot uses it as an excuse to not serve a hot breakfast. I mean there's no reason you cant serve the guest directly a hot breakfast sandwich or offer a premade breakfast sandwich they can heat in the microwaves in their rooms. Nope not here. Even though I prefer Hilton I've stayed at many Marriotts in the past and hold them to a higher standard just like Hilton. Well this particular Marriott let the customer down for sure. The grab and go consisted of pop tart, nutrigtain bar, sugary fruit cup, and packaged muffin. Great I am diabetic thanks for that!!!!!! Like I said highly disappointing to be honest. My wife left a survey review and the GM contacted her and honestly just a copout period. Less services yet still charge you the same $$$$$. Then the best is when you get there and of course no housekeeping unless you request it, which is pretty standard right now across the board, they do not leave you enough towels or toilet paper. At least stock up the damn room with a couple of extra towels and at least 1 extra roll of toilet paper. That is just common courtesy. I honestly recommend staying somewhere else until Covid is over and this place goes back to normal operations.

  Our stay at Spring hill suites Statesboro, Ga

  Our room had not been cleaned from the previous stay. There were crumbs on the nightstands,debris on the carpet,hair on the bathroom floor, hair in the shower. The surfaces of the toilet had not been cleaned. Overall not satisfactory cleaning considering the current Covid 19 guidelines that are supposed to be followed. The bed linens had been changed ( I hope). The bathroom towels had be changed.
