    Rude Services, No regard for Marriot Reward Members, Threatening Supervisor

    First I am a Marriott Titanium Rewards Member & Platinum for Life Member...so goes with out saying (which I will anyways)...I stay a lot of nights in Marriot banded hotels and contribute a lot of money to them. The Hotel it self was fine. Your average commuter stay hotel. They had lots of COVID policies in place which was good and expected. Although entry to the hotel was confusing at first because they had the front entry sliding door that you could not open without a room key. When I first arrived to check in the front desk person kept motioning to me to use my key to open the door and took several times of yelling through the glass that i was just arriving to check in before they finally opened he door. Anyways where I had my real issue... We were in town for a national baseball tournament that my son was playing in at the Mariners/Padres Spring Training Complex. Upon check in I requested a late 4pm check out (per my Titanium status benefits). Person that checked me in said that should be no problem, just call down to front desk on my check out day in the morning to re-confirm so they wont deactivate the key card at the standard check out time. Which is usually the standard request. Main reason I wanted late check out was my son had an 10am game that day and he would be done about 12:30pm. Wanted to be able to come back to the hotel and let him take a shower (after playing in 105 degree weather on dirt baseball field) before we packed up and headed to the airport for the 3.5 hour flight home. I called down that morning as instructed. Told the front desk guy what I was just confirming my late checkout. He abruptly told me with out hesitation "no late check outs". I explained that I was a titanium member and was supposed to get 4pm late checkouts and that i had already confirmed it at check in...but i only needed till 1:30 or 2pm. No hesitation at all he just kept telling he would not give it to me that they were too busy. So i hug up and headed down to the front desk to talk to him in person hoping that would make a difference. Explained to him my situation...he sat and fully listened and then i was done, again without hesitation told me "sir i already told you no" and that the late check out guarantee was "subject to availability" and "his discretion". Being a Titanium member i am familiar with the terms...the "subject to availability" is for RESORT and CONVENTION Hotels...of which this hotel is neither. Anyways he still didn't care. I asked to talk to a manager and he told me he was the supervisor and it was his final decision. I asked him if i could have the contact number for the hotel GM...and at that point he threatened me that if i didn't go back to my room that he would have to ask me to check out leave immediately (it was still like 8am). Short to say...we checked out before my sons game. And we will never return to this hotel. We come down to this baseball complex 3-4x a year to play baseball and/or see Mariners games...and i will steer all friends and family of other players on the team away or other teams away from this hotel with a vengeance!

    Very Average

    This hotel is lacking in any kind of charm or interest. Very bland. Our room was so oddly shaped with the TV off to the side making it hard to watch either from the bed or couch. Weird that the hot water took a full 2 minutes to come on..such a waste. And that was every time we bathed.Breakfast very dull and prepackaged. Maids always in the hall talking to each other. Meanwhile we observed a line of fruit loops on the carpet in the hall that were never picked up for the whole 3 days we were there.

    No complaints

    Despite of all that's going on right now, they practice safe distancing and must wear a mask inside or you will be asked to leave. Nice quiet peaceful stay, no complaints, all seems clean and disinfected, breakfast is grab and go. Great staff at all times.

    Terrible Franchise Marriott - Stay Away!!!

    Dont ever reserve or stay at the SHS in Glendale 7810 W Bell road. Turned away my wife and child in the middle of the nightwith a confirmed reservation because their CC demagnetized and wouldnt swipe. Terrible customer service.

    Horrible Franchise Marriott, DO NOT STAY

    I had a reservation at this hotel. But when I arrived the staff at the front desk, Denise was rude and extremely unhelpful. The hotel was paid in full, yet she canceled the reservation because their system wasn't working and she couldn't enter my information. The lobby was dirty, the computer area and food area was dirty and smelled. I WOULD NOT WASTE my money. The hotel is OLD and OUTDATED. The franchise owner has done nothing to ensure this hotel is up to todays standards and the staff is AWFUL. There is another Marriott right down the road that is much nicer, along with a fabulous Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn - There are too many choices to waste your time and money at this location.
